I have so so so many thoughts about Robby and Abbot immediately falling in love when they first see each other at the Pitt and then it's just 2+ decades of everyone teasing them about each other and secret stolen glances and "yeah we're just besties that's all" and sure their relationship survived PTSD and Jack's wife dying and sometimes they sleep in the same bed and they have clothes at each other's houses and have keys to each other's houses but it's definitely not anything they're definitely not in love

#idk my HC is that Robby came to the Pitt around like ?? 2008ish????#idk between like 2006-2008 #so 2025 is like 17-19 years so basically two decades #and there's a lot of Robby getting drunk and getting handsy and clingy with Abbot and vice versa #and it's just a known thing #and definitely ruins relationships because girls Robby dates will be like “hey can you stop touching that guy”#and Robbys like NO 😡 I cannot 😡 that is Jack Abbot and I don't have a best friend but he's... something!!! so like him or leave me #do you think Heather (Collins) gave up on Robby because he was down so bad for Jack #like just them getting ready for bed and he's like “😊 hey honey did anyone say anything about Jack and I being married or anything”#constantly asking her what the gossip in the Pitt is about the two of them and asking her “what was Jack wearing today how's he doing”#and she indulges him at first bcuz like aw that's cute healthy masculinity we love guys who are not scared of being close with guy friends #but then after like TWO MONTHS of this every day she very quickly realizes that no this is just Robbys thing for Jack #Langdon is (was) his best resident because he keeps tabs on Jack and is close with one of the night shift nurses who gives him the tea #lbr shen and Langdon are probably buddies too #shen texting Langdon hourly reports like “hey tell that old man his husband is eating a bagel dry and untoasted he's a psychopath”#then the next hour it's like “yeah we just coded someone and then Jack high fived everyone does he think we're at recess what is this”#“update: he's asking one of the night shift nurses about her nails 💅 😳 👀 is there trouble in paradise 😏”#just shen blowing up Langdon's phone about abbot and then Langdon immediately screenshots then and sends it to Robby #and sure Robby could cut the middleman (Langdon) out but shen would never be that honest with him and it doesn't hurt anyone so...#jack thinking he can get away with surprises or something and Robby goes 🤫 I have spies everywhere you'll never know about Jack 🤫#and you guys KNOW abbot gets regular texts from perlah/princess/Dana/Lena/etc #he's keeping tabs on Robby too but his updates are significantly more stressful instead of eating a dry untoasted bagel it's like #“robby is on hour 12 without any food and has had 6 cups of coffee no water and no granola bars 🤗🤗🤗 plz save us”#meanwhile someone else is simultaneously texting abbot going “UR MAN IS HANGRY STOP HIS WRATH”#Idk just thoughts #lots of thoughts #rabbot #the Pitt #dr robby #dr abbot

sometimes i get sad about the fact that the fandom is so wrapped up in made-up drama with no basis in reality and discourse about fanon that there is almost NO conversation about the ACTUAL political parts of the pitt. so much criticism and no actual discussion of the pitt’s points about ice, about misdiagnosis of women and poc, about the fucked up insurance systems in the us, about deportations, about child abuse, about mental health, about suicide, about addiction, about federal funding cuts towards programs that benefit people of color, LIKE. you wanna talk about the pitt’s politics but instead of talking about ANY of that you wanna make shit up instead oh okay
