It’s been convenient for me because I’ve been needing to cry but my usual songs and movie scenes just weren’t hitting like they used to. My teacher called my mum to ask if I was ok because we had to sing a song for the class and I picked When She Loved Me and cried a few tears during it, and sobbed after… and then some kids thought it was my way of announcing I was a lesbian who broke up with my girlfriend, which led to another phone call when my teacher learned about it lol what an era! No, it was just abandonment issues and stage presence!

It’s been very cathartic for me lol

So in 1988 Pixar made a short film called Tin Toy about a toy trying to run away from a baby. It won an OSCAR the following year in 1989.

The people at Disney were impressed and wanted to make a full length movie in the same computer animation style as Tin Toy, about toys that wanted to be played with and Toy Story was born! It’d take a few years of working out the story and script, negotiations with Disney and Pixar working together, and a groundbreaking animation project before it was released in 1995, but just like Taylor Swift herself, the idea for Toy Story seemed to have been conceived in the year 1989.

Oh and the short Pixar released 6 years before Toy Story where the screenshot is from! This cute little creation called Knick Knack!

There are plenty of parallels to be drawn from this short and imagery in Taylor’s work and life, but I think with a 20 year career, that would be expected… but it’s still fun to make connections! 😂

I’ve gone this far, so do we think the song is called Password since it’s in the URL to her website and the movie being toys vs tech themed?

I paid less money for eras tickets in the same section I saw another artist 15ish years earlier - and most prices have doubled since then! And my floor seats at rep with a full and fantastic view were cheaper than the middle range tickets in an arena at the same time!! FWIW, we didn’t have dynamic pricing then, which some artists opt to use now *sighs thinking about the good old days*

And Taylor crafts her tours so every seat has a good view of something happening on stage, I didn’t know where to look half the time lol

Horny ghost called Kevin spooks wife

AUSSIE housewife haunted by horny ghost who keeps trying to go to bed with her.

A NORTHERN Territory woman is convinced a horny ghost is haunting her home.

Jennifer Mills-Young claims the ghost, named Kevin, once tried to drag her out of bed in the middle of the night.

"I was asleep," she said. "I woke up when someone grabbed my wrist.

"I though, 'Hmmm, hubby wants a bit of romance', when I suddenly remembered he wasn't even at home," she told the NT News.

Mrs Mills-Young said she could feel the hand around her wrist trying to pull her up and out of bed.

"The moment I opened my eyes, the grip was gone and the room was empty.

"I yelled at Kevin that he was not welcome in my bedroom and that he couldn't come into bed with me.

"I told him to f*** off and to close the door behind him. A moment later I saw how the bedroom door slowly was closed.

"I jumped up and locked it - not that it makes much of a difference when you're dealing with a ghost."

Ms Mills-Young, her husband Geoff and two children, now aged 19 and 20, are convinced the ghost is lurking in their home in Durack, Palmerston.

She said the family felt "something wasn't right" as soon as they moved into the house two years ago.

"My daughter suddenly felt uncomfortable - she said someone was in her room," Mrs Mills- Young said.

"My daughter believed she had seen my son Aaron sneak out of the back door in the middle of the night.

"She said she saw this tall black shadow standing at the door - but at the time Aaron was hiding behind the computer desk."

Can I get some recs please? I want escapism but it doesn’t need to be fantasy levels, just divorced enough from part of my real life.

I like mysteries but I’m sick of people milking very real trauma for all the emotional weight of the book; give me a detective book that focuses less on the intricacies and gore of the crime and more on the mentality of the characters and their little side plots that shape the story, not pages of gruesome details.

I like historical fiction if I’m not expected to actually know a lot of the details of that period to be able to make sense of the book.

I recently read some fantasy (a genre i’d never usually pick) and it was written like it was in our world but cool shit - like there were mermaids, talking plants, some dude could fly and lived in cave behind a waterfall - but it was comforting like a rom com and you could predict the ending (they got together AND KISSED!!! Lol) but it was an entertaining journey and had some high stakes moments.

I like the classics but have been limited to classics by Brits and USAmerican writers, so would like to venture outside that territory and read classics from other cultures.

I think I need fluffy cosy stuff right now, but everything I’ve started has been too predictable and felt too much like self insert fan fiction romances. Where is the other cosy, easy reading that isn’t the same story over and over?!? Legit question! I’m not trashing the genre, I just want more variety. More dragons, if you will.
