I figured I'd explore the other, less body horror, idea too. Caine still wanting to strip Annabelle of any semblance of identity, as a "fuck you for being so difficult" but through the excessive application of verbal filters and behavioral modifiers + removing every avatar difference (even her few default ones)

Like the humans will definitely figure it out immediately. But the point isn't to make them think she actually is Ragatha, the point is to force her to put herself in that role now. (the point is being a petty AI asshole)

This was supposed to be the less drastic option. But the more I think about it, somehow this one feels more dehumanizing than the mashup one.

Like at least with that one she can still express herself. With this one, Ms. Identity Issues basically has to exist through a bunch of filters and modifiers designed to peel away every part of her that doesn’t for her “role”

And if she doesn’t play along, it just makes her. Like she can’t even express negative emotions because she has to be “the happy one”. That sucks

Mentioned to my mom I'm asexual a couple months ago and today.... we got into the car and she hit me with, "So you use they/them pronouns now?"

I went, "What. no. she/her."

"How does that work? With she/her/hers and they/them?"

I stared at her. "What are you talking about?"

"Well you came out as-" and I said, "I'm asexual."

She replied, "Like an amoeba, I know."
