Hufflepuff: It's unhealthy to eat after 9pm
Slytherin, eating sweets at 3am: Oh man, it's a good thing time is an illusion
Slytherin: Why would I fuck a demon? Simple, the status.
Slytherin: Imagine rolling up into hell already having your back blown out by one of their own. Imagine you and a gang of other losers standing at the gates of hell, they’re all crying, scared to death about having a pitchfork up their ass for eternity and you just walk into the arms of your sugar demon? Legendary.
Hufflepuff: Please, it is 4am, just go to sleep—
Ravenclaw: No, wait, he has a point, please continue.

Hilda by Duane Bryers
More Hilda!!
in this family we love and support Hilda.
Yes! Hilda!
What i love about this artist’s depictions of women is even the sexualized ones the woman is always genuinely happy and enjoying herself. Frolicking or making funny faces, she’s living her life and looking sexy while doing it, not sitting in a sexual pose for the audience’s view.
I always forget about Hilda and am so pleased when she randomly shows up on my dash. Always makes my day
I love Hilda so much and I want her to be happy
more Hilda!
I freaking love Hilda, there’s needs to be more art like this.
I will never not reblog Hilda
Hilda is a treasure ❤️❤️❤️
The day I don’t reblog Hilda is the day I’m 6 feet under.

so for a while my landlord has been allowing us to pay partial rent because of covid but now they’re wanting us to pay back everything we owe which comes out to $7000 that we don’t have because everything is still the same as it was when we initially stopped being able to pay full rent. and actually it’s worse because one of our roommates just bailed and cut off communication so we’re never going to see their portion of the rent for the months they were still living here. on top of that i have a $1500 medical bill that i obviously have no money for!
so if you’re a kind person who wants to help an nb jewish lesbian and two trans women pay all of our expenses drop some money in my paypal or venmo:

The “Oh, Persephone’s patience” is killing me bc it means Harley just sounds like Hades praising Persephone
Harley is just gay for everyone isn’t she
That implies that being gay for wonder woman is some kind of stretch
Isn’t everyone a little gay for Wonder Woman?

The DREAM
I distinctly remember the first time my dad called me my right name. I was sixteen, I’d gotten my driver’s license not too long ago, and now that I was driving, my dad gave me a credit card so I could get gas, or food if I was staying late at school due to marching band. He was very clear, this card was for food and gas only. Only gas and food. Just those two categories of product. He would be checking the bill. I had no desire to buy anything else with this card.
However. Often when getting food after marching practice, or on our scant breaks, I’d drive my friends to burger king or little ceasers or starbucks or whatever, and sometimes not all of my friends could afford the food they wanted. And well…food is food. I have a big appetite, and as long as I didn’t go crazy overboard and order catering for the whole band, a few extra burgers and shakes wouldn’t stand out on a monthly bill. So I bought my friends food.
I did this for several months, and sometime during that came out to my parents. They both thought it was a phase, and that I would grow out of it. Since they’re not terrible people their approach to me having ‘a boy phase’ was to let me do my thing and wait for me to change my mind. I didn’t change my mind, and eventually they understood that, but that’s a whole other post. The point is my dad didn’t discourage me from transitioning, but avoided talking about it with me. He stopped calling me his daughter, but replaced it with child rather than son, that kind of thing.
But back to the credit card. Eventually I started feeling guilty. TECHNICALLY I was obeying the rule ‘food and gas only’, but I knew I was bending it. I nervously admitted to him one day that sometimes…on occasion…once in a while… I’d buy a friend food. I waited solemnly for his judgement. He walked over to me, put his hands on my shoulders, looked into my eyes sternly and said,
“Zackary, we are Italian. If you let your friends go hungry….” (and here he decided to shake me just for a little emphasis) “I will disown you.”
And that’s when I knew he’d come around. Trans? Fine okay sure, give it a shot. Stingy? Get the fuck out.
an activist in austin, tx was shot and killed last night(july, 25th) during a march in solidarity with portland. a man who was running people over and shooting from his car into the crowd shot him while he was defending his wife and others at the protest. his name was Garrett Foster.
Here is a link about what happened also with a link to support his wife, Whitney Mitchell(who is disabled). She lost her primary caregiver for over ten years and the love of her life.
UPDATE:
the donations have been closed but please continue to spread this article with the video of Whitney. Right-wing(and liberal) media are trying to spread lies about Garrett, saying that he was aggressive towards the car and the shooter killed him in self defense. THESE ARE LIES!
Garrett paid the ultimate price for defending Black Lives. Do not let the media twist this narrative!
Defend the legacy of Garrett Foster! Servant of the people!

Captain Marvel (2019)

A major inconsistency I hated in TROS was the fact that they wrote Ben and Rey as symbols of the dark and light instead of the gray area in between. Instead of balance.
For one, they made Ben seem like he wanted Rey to turn to the dark for good when literally in TLJ he admitted that he wanted to leave the ways of the Sith and Jedi behind and start a new order with her.
He was drawn to her how she was already. He didn’t want her to come to the dark side. It was never about Jedi vs. Sith. He wanted Rey as Rey from Jakku. Completely herself.
Rey was able to see that Ben was more like her than she realized—not the monster that everyone made him out to be. She went to Ben because she loved him for who he was. Again, it was never about Jedi vs. Sith.
Ben was the bad with the good, and Rey was the good with the bad. They both saw in each other that they were alike in this way. They could understand one another—two people that were tied to opposite ideologies that didn’t quite fit them completely. So they completed each other instead.
This was so important in the dynamic of Reylo on both sides. It was about both of them loving each other for who they truly were despite what other people expected them to be and despite what side of the war they were on.
For Rey, it was clear that she was going to deal with the pressures of being the last Jedi, upholding the expectation that she was 100% good and pure when in reality that wasn’t true.
For Ben, it was clear that he was “destined” to become the next Vader, that he was supposed to uphold the expectation that he was 100% evil and corrupt when in reality that wasn’t true.
Between both Ben and Rey, they were meant to understand each other and relate to one another with the loneliness that those expectations led to. In the end, both of them were misunderstood on opposite sides. The line between them wasn’t of separation, but of connection. They were mirrors of each other, somewhere between dark and light. They were literally the balance.
The arcs of both their characters got messed up the moment TROS decided that Good vs. Evil was all black and white. No gray. The importance of Ben and Rey’s relationship was ruined in my opinion because they literally symbolized the gray. Everything became about Ben wanting Rey to be dark with him, which—and I cannot stress this enough—is so out of character considering the fact that this man was quite literally betrayed by both the light and dark side of the force by the end of TLJ. He wanted nothing to do with either side. Rey suddenly only wanted light side Ben’s hand even though she had failed to resist her own darkness multiple times and was let down by the legend himself, Luke Skywalker.
They were both let down by the sides they served, the people they thought would be there for them. Suddenly that important fact got erased, which in turn erased a huge part of Ben and Rey’s relationship with each other.
The force bond wasn’t about intimacy anymore—a.k.a important conversations because a relationship literally NEEDS communication—but instead became a filler for pointless lightsaber battles that got Ben and Rey nowhere as far as development.
Instead of Palpatine being used as a greater evil, in which the light and dark would work together in order to defeat him, he was used as an asset for the FO when in reality he should’ve been a threat to both sides of the war.
If you kept Ben and Rey in character from TLJ, chances are they would’ve teamed up the moment they learned of Palpatine’s return. It’s not like they literally did this with no hesitation when it came down to Snoke. It’s just the truth. There’s no way you can tell me it was on point for them to have fought about this, or fight each other while knowing they’re the two most powerful people in the galaxy, a literal fucking dyad, that could take down Palpatine together.
And yes, Ben did want to kill Palpatine with her, but again, at that point he wouldn’t have cared who he was siding with in order to get that done (because fuck the old ways of the Sith and Jedi, right?). And Rey wouldn’t have cared either. They should’ve put two and two together like, “damn we’re both basically leading the opposite forces of this war, maybe we should team up so we can get rid of Palpatine ahaha. Also we have a bond that he doesn’t know about and we could totally use that to our advantage rather than FIGHTING each other.”
A villain like Palpatine, who had experienced firsthand what it’s like to be betrayed by his own apprentice *insert clown face emoji* wouldn’t have wanted anyone on his side at this point. He literally raised armies from the dead that were blindly loyal to him, ready to obliterate anyone in his way. He’d been able to survive on his own without anyone’s help. The man was doing just fine.
Sorry that got a little off topic (as most of these rants do), but in the end, it sucked to see that Reylo didn’t develop the way it should have.
Reylo was about acceptance. These were two people who should’ve hated each other, who should’ve wanted to change each other, but they didn’t. Reylo was about how relationships are never perfect—how it was never the idea that the person we fall in love with should be this “dark side” or “light side” version where they are everything we want and nothing we don’t want. Reylo was about humanity and compassion. Empathy. It was about moving on from the past and becoming a better person. It was about choosing redemption, not deserving it. It was about the place in between light and dark, which is how every person in this world is. We’re a blend of good and bad, a mix of right and wrong.
Reylo was about balance, and they took it away.
