There’s something engaging about playing in a morally gray space as a writer. I like writing about different cultures and making up cultures where the morality doesn’t quite fit. This would be considered immoral in our culture, yes, but it isn’t considered immoral in this one. This character has no framework for considering this behavior as bad. Are the people perpetuating this behavior bad people? What goes into characterizing behavior as bad or good?
Unfortunately this is a good way to get garroted by a certain subsection of readers.

What is the slytherins + barty original plan to make theon and harry make up? Because the idea of shoving them into the cupboard until they talk about their feelings is mary idea right? So whats their original plan? Did they plan to hurt mary because it said here

There was no plan to have theo make up with harry. There was a slight intention to take him out of the board entirely( barty and evan) and reg just watching the show (coz he is a chilled out fella watching disaster train going off the rails). Evan fully had the intention to ignore theo.. except harry still paid him attention and still cared about him.. and our lil snakies are the type to bite first and say sorry later.
And theo knew it perfectly well too. But like mary said.. he was happy to go wreck the dormitory over having a civil conversation with harry. Why? Pride. Vanity. Childishness. Take your pick.
And the stray spell hitting mary meant.. well, its a a whole another can of worms. Theo was the only one who truly had issue with the blood. The rest were just annoyed with having another contender for harry's attention. (Actually for that matter theo too- these lot are possessive af) Barty, our lovely sheep just wondered if he couldnt get rid of the seed of the problem( mary being the reason for the tiff) and his problem (also mary- the poor girl).
One would think why would they risk Harry's ire that way- cause he won't be really pleased with any of this.. like at all, right? If they adore him so much, why do stuff he wont like?
Because they are selfish ah. They do care about harry but they care about having him all to themselves even more. A lil bit yandere-ish? i would say if they weren't so damn self-sacrificing to arrange their own futures to kee harry.
Also Because they are stupid ass children who are looking at short term effects and cant be bothered to look up and see the giant meteor heading their way.
