i think ive mentioned this before but... every once in a while i think about how a year or so after i graduated high school i got cast as bottom in a midsummer's night's dream and got a crash course in "portraying a man" from the (man) director...

is it just a given that community/high school theatre directors sometimes have a sixth sense that allows them to identify the transness in someone like one of those cancer-sniffing dogs??? because looking back im like "how did that not crack the code for me"

like i do think i definitely have some kind of dissociative disorder, because as tal pointed out, i am able to recall details i learned about my mom's life with incredible clarity but struggle to recall the plots of movies i watched AND ENJOYED within the past few months, as well as like, the actual timing of major events in my past... it would be awesome if i could unlock that shit somehow but i fear being further marginalized by potential therapists for being bipolar and specifically having the potential for "getting worse" implied by having a second-degree relation who is schizoaffective... idk!

The thing about Miss Piggy is that she kind of has a Roger Rabbit comedy superpower where she wins nearly any conceivable fight she's in. But unlike other characters of which that's true, like say, Bugs Bunny, who tend to win because they make the opponent play the game with their rules, Miss Piggy wins because the joke is that she can beat the shit out of literally anybody.

saw a couple of flyers posted up today that felt scummy as hell, advertising "call center" jobs from Some Guy for "$20 per hour or extremely generous commission" but i only tore down the one that i found closer to my place... like am i wrong in assuming that this is some kind of predatory scammer looking for cheap labour?

Fantastic article!! The guys looking for it were fish researchers who saw it one time, knew instantly it was an undescribed species, and then tried for nearly 20 years to find and document it!

It's a type of ghost pipefish, related to seahorses, and it floats around coral reefs looking like a piece of algae and hunting unsuspecting prey

They are, of course, named after Snuffleupagus from Sesame Street!

Later on it the project, they got citizen science involved, and people across the Pacific started reporting sightings of snuffy fish from all over!

I got hired to do a stand-up comedy set at the trope villain convention. It was a great gig. Really appreciative crowd. They were absolutely cackling the whole time. It was a little weird at the end though when all of them stood up and started clapping very slowly, before saying, in unison, "Well done, my friend. Well done."
