If you are silent about your pain they'll kill you and say you enjoyed it - Zora Neale Hurston
This is one of those posts where I feel like I'm doing others and myself a disservice by not sharing. I wish someone had shown me this a long time ago.
Maybe I'd be having to do less work to break out of this shell, now.
anyone else feeling the Effects lately. due to all the Things
as a communist i do not care abstractly about questions like "will i be able to acquire this commodity at exactly the same rate in exactly the same locations" because the way they reach distribution centers is premised on exploitation, violence, and in many cases genocide
those people matter to me, the people whose lives were transformed into cogs for profit. for extraction. thats the relationship i want to change.
if that means less bananas fine. if it means more bananas fine. bananas arent the aim. emancipation is.

Pasteups in NYC denouncing Facebook for collaboration with Nebraska police to sentence a teenage girl to 90 days in jail for using using the abortion pill to terminate her pregnancy.
While ending one’s own pregnancy with pills isn’t illegal in the state, prosecutors went after the teen for disposing of the fetal remains.
Facebook gave the cops ALL THE DATA of the teen and her mother, based on a hunch by some random fucking cop. This included years worth of photos, videos, 'private' chats and THEIR FUCKING LOCATION DATA.
DON'T TRUST SOCIAL MEDIAS WITH ANYTHING
ID: Text pasted on a wall reading “Facebook gave Nebraska cops a teen’s DMs so they could prosecute her for having an abortion” /End ID
All 4 of these ppl should have been indicted. For war crimes, for corruption and for groping kids.
talking to preschoolers is awesome bc they have not fully differentiated stories into 'true stories' and 'imaginary stories' yet so you will tell them about something that happened you once (coyote came out of a bush right in front of you and got startled) and they will tell you about how one time their house was full of coyotes in every room 'including five in the garage' and they're not even like, aware i think of the idea that they are technically 'lying'. they are simply telling stories about coyotes bc its time to tell stories about coyotes.
I love when non-binary characters' AGABs can't be hidden.
I love when they look too much like their AGAB for other characters to first perceive them as non-binary.
I love when fatness makes it both easier and harder to tell AGABs.
I love beards that both do and don't "suit" a character, based on their AGAB.
I love non-binary characters who wear typically "gendered" clothing without a care in the world.
I love when non-binary characters wear religious clothing or items that are typically gendered but aren't by proxy of being on this character.
I love non-binary characters where their AGAB might be "obvious" (or at least noticeable) but it doesn't affect that they're treated with respect and love and as non-binary characters.
I love when characters still get to be themselves even if they don't "look non-binary".
I love acknowledging that there are a million things we consider gendered and a million ways in which we might not be able to do anything about it, but instead of it hindering your self expression, it simply becomes part of it and your gender by proxy. Embracing instead of fighting.
I love when these things make a character happy, or at least don't make them miserable, and they aren't focused on changing themselves.
I love when non-binary characters aren't "androgynous" because I will never manage androgyny. And I like to know that that's okay.
Beautiful.
Our society isn't "turning into" an apocalyptic cyberpunk dystopia.
IT ALREADY IS ONE.
Is God compliant?

It's not that hard to figure out. He's clearly not, there's no handrails in the Garden of Eden.
two problems
does. does a garden need handrails??? (hopefully not)
that story is i believe specific to christianity
even if that doesn't apply, there are cliffs and stuff without handrails. bada bing bada boom osha violation you could fall and die
you have a fair point but consider: what regulations does The Entire Planet fall under. like are you telling me the whole fucking earth is a work site
I say the garden was a moderately compliant zone: everything was "safe" except for the one tree. The animals didn't eat each other etc. Outside the garden all bets were off.
assuming one believes in the story of paradise lost, the tree was also safe- they were explicitly told both the nature of it and to not operate it incorrectly. it's not an osha violation if a snake tells you to stick your hand in front of a moving forklift but the snake probably shouldn't be there

when i get asked the perfect question that allows me to ramble about a special interest or share something that i recently learned this is what i look like. this is who i turn into
People with most mainstream tastes imaginable should not open their mouth on how anti piracy they are btw. Yea no shit you can depend on legal sources to watch Marvel and listen to tswift and Maroon 5. Thank you so much for signing the petition to close that platform that was the only one i could download this 2008 romanian dungeon synth ep from
Cheryl Dunye’s directorial debut, The Watermelon Woman, was out of print between 2000 and 2018. Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace was only available to watch on a pirate channel on YouTube until last year. There is still no way to watch the X-Files spinoff, The Lone Gunmen except to own a dvd box set that has been out of print since 2005. Or to pirate it. It’s on YouTube.
Piracy is incredibly important to keep media that’s weird, or out there or just embarrassing to someone in power, alive. We need piracy and we need to stop being snitches when someone pirates stuff.
