GUYYYYYYSSSSS he looks so delicious
Footman John is 100 times better than Benedict this season, I said what I said
Sometimes I randomly remember how the most important people of my life from like 6-7 years ago are not in my life at all anymore and that's sort of terrifying and also crazy to realize how you actually can survive loss beyond your comprehension and find happiness stronger and more suited for you if you keep going

5 times Peeta Mellark missed his birthmark, + 1 time it came back | Ao3 | Rated T
It would have been an eyesore, really, if it had been located somewhere more visible on his body. Most days, he'd pull his socks over his ankles and forget the birthmark was even there. So he doesn't expect to miss it so much when the doctors sever it off with the rest of his lower leg. He comes home from the Capitol with a stump straining against his new prosthetic below the knee, free of the once-constant imprint of nature's imperfections on his skin.
Here are some amputee Peeta feels and some Everlark fluff for your Saturday.
Happy birthday ladies! @mynightmaresareaboutlosingyou @d3meter đ©”đ©”đ©”
A never reaped AU where Peeta becomes Mayor of District 12
Katniss trading squirrels and strawberries to Peeta at the Mayors mansion
This could go a bunch of different directions but the version stuck in my head is the reverse trope of ânice guy who only hates meâ
Katniss canât understand why Peeta is so detached and terse during their trades. The man is nice to everyone, even Gale thinks heâs a decent guy.
She decided that itâs because she never thanked him for the bread, but when she goes to thank him he cuts her off and demands she leave.
She stops trading at the Mayor mansion altogether until Gale tells her after his Sunday trade that Peeta has requested fish on Tuesdays and sheâll need to sack up and bring it because heâs working.
She goes and his housekeeper manages the trade and requests strawberries for the next day. She goes back - each day the housekeeper always manages the trades and requests something different for the following day (this is good though because even though she canât stand (is hurt by) Peeta, she really NEEDS the coins from his trades.)
She gleans from Gale that he is still trading directly with Peeta on Sundays and it irks her. So one week she spies on Gale and watches as they trade and then watches as Peeta and Gale head off to an abandoned hut on the outskirts of town where they meet up with another person she canât see.
Katniss barges in to discover Gale, Peeta, and Haymitch Abernathy *doing rebel things*
Katniss joins the cause and Peeta is not happy about it, which only strengths her resolve.
Yadda yadda yadda
The mayorâs mansion is bugged and Peeta was trying to protect her by keeping her at arms length and not involving her in the sedition, while also supporting her through trades. He doesnât hate her at all and neither does she.
Katniss and Peeta probably begin an affair
kill the imposter syndrome in your head because not only is there someone out there doing it worse than you, theyâre also using chat gpt to do it

when my sib was little, my mom put pumpkin in everything. puffy pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.
one thing that stayed a beloved food we've kept all these years as a thanksgiving fave was pumpkin crescent rolls.
1 pkg active dry yeast
1 cup warm water (105 to 115 degrees F)
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup shortening butter is great
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp salt
5 to 6 cups flour
Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl. Stir in the pumpkin, shortening, sugar, egg, salt, and 3 cups of flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough of the remaining flour to make the dough easy to handle.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place in a greased bowl; turn greased side of dough up. Cover. Let rise in a warm place until double, about one hour. (Dough is ready if indentation remains when touched.)
Grease cookie sheets.
Punch down dough. Divide it into 3 equal parts. Roll each part into a 12 inch circle on a floured surface. Spread margarine on circle. Cut into twelve wedges. Roll up the wedges tightly, starting at the rounded edges. Place rolls on a greased cookie sheet with points down. Curve slightly. Let rise until double, 30-45 minutes.
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Bake until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
originally from a Betty Crocker holiday cookbook. We used butter rather than shortening. forever making 2x and 3x batches they're so fucking good I spend like a month having a carefully rationed hoard of them for breakfast with eggnog every year.
hyperfixation please stay with me long enough to complete the project. hyperfixation do not fade. hyperfixation finish what you started for the love of god
okay but "the way I loved you" by miss Taylor Swift is so effica vs hayffie coded and ive been thinking about that all day
Like they're straight up trying to overturn the supreme court case that granted gay people the right to get married and a very significant part of the queer community is dedicating themselves to fighting and arguing that caring about this is a "neoliberal capitalist girlboss white feminist attitude" blah blah blah and that you're a fascist if you voted WHAT is happening right now?? How fucking stupid are you people and how far are you willing to fall before you stand up for yourselves?? Your right to get married is about to be taken away. For those who are married, your marriages will be dissolved. Homosexuality could be criminalized again and the morons on this website are MAKING FUN OF PEOPLE for caring about it!! How safe do you think you are??
the thing is that this easter egg is so fucking obvious if you're even remotely familiar with anything taylor-related, but saying to a normal person "yeah no taylor swift is about to announce a new album and we know that because she just posted 12 pics of her wearing orange on instagram" makes you look. well. in need of medical attention to be honest
I forced my husband to watch Conradâs pov episode because I needed confirmation of whether it was realistically how men view women or if it was just a female gaze situation
Unprompted he confirmed in the first scene where Conrad was replaying Bellyâs hug that it was âdefinitely how it feels to be down badâ and he also said unprompted when Conrad kept telling himself not to help Belly in his internal monologue that he relates to saying and doing things against his own judgement to make his lady (me!) happy. (The number of times my husband has asked if I wanted to go to Michealâs together when Iâve been sad/had a bad day also made that scene extra funny for us).
His reaction to the peach scene was just âwoah, that was sexyâ
At the end of the episode I asked him if he ever saw me in a golden glow when we first started dating and he said, and I quote, â you wonât believe this, but I still do everydayâ đ«
Anyway, I love Conradâs pov because being with the love of my life, doing things just to make him smile, even doing mundane things like cooking dinner together, still has me seeing him with a golden filter like weâre in a movie, not every moment of every day but itâs there ⊠love like that is so real and Iâm so grateful to have it
Shopping for laptops fucking sucks âcause I donât know shit about computers. Iâve never had a computer with a functional webcam or microphone or the ability to play computer games made later than 2005 or a speaker that could play anything loud enough to hear from more than a foot away. How the hell should I know what I want?!
wow that would be such useful advice if only desktop PCs were small and portable and did not require desk tops on which to place them and I could take them with me when I traveled
I know this is a haha funny post, but for anyone who needs it, here's a quick-and-dirty of what you're most likely going to see while shopping for a computer/laptop (w/Examples)!
Cores/Intel Cores (Ex. i3, i5, i9)= Processing Speed= how fast your internet and other programs run. More cores is better.
Hard [Disk] Drive(HDD)/Solid State Drive(SSD) (Ex. 250GB, 480GB, 2TB)= How much you can store on your computer (files and apps and programs). A Terabyte(TB) is 1,000 Gigabytes.
*HDD is cheaper and more storage while SSD is faster, more durable, and uses less energy.
Memory/RAM(Random Access Memory) (Ex. 4GB, 8GB, 16GB) = How many different things your computer can do At The Same Time.
Ex. A computer with 4GB of RAM will probably shit itself if you try to play a game with with the internet open.
Video/Graphics Cards (Ex. NVIDIA, Intel HD Graphics, AMD) = How much visual complexity your computer can handle without throwing a tantrum. Only important if you play video games, do digital art, or watch a lot of movies on your computer. (When you're watching a video and it pixelates and lags when the action stuff happens, that's a bad/small graphics card)
Also the âavoid refurbished computersâ tip is dead wrong.
âRefurbishedâ means itâs been in a technicianâs hands recently and canât be sold as new. Thatâs it. Thatâs all. In the US the FTC makes it illegal to sell something new if itâs been sold to an end user, so by definition a lot of perfect, ready-to-go hardware must be ârefurbishedâ in order to sell it again, no matter the circumstances.
Reasons a machine might be a refurb:
- Customer bought the item, decided they didnât like the color, and returned it
- Customer bought the item, couldnât figure out how to turn it on, and returned it
- Retailer opened the box for some reason and lost some of what gets shipped inside (manuals, cables, charger) and returned it
- Company bought 100 computers but went out of business before they could be installed or used
- Customer got a replacement for a damaged computer under warranty, and the manufacturer fixed what was wrong with the old machine and is now selling it as a refurb
I HAVE PERSONALLY WITNESSED ALL OF THESE SCENARIOS
Bottom line: ârefurbishedâ hardware has been repaired, tested, cleaned, and renewed back to original specifications by a trained technician. If anything, itâs probably MORE reliable now that itâs been doubly-tested.Â
All responsibly refurbished equipment comes with a factory warranty... the only refurbs I would avoid are items sold âas-isâ without warranty. Thatâs dangerous unless you know what youâre doing, like buying stuff for parts.
A lot of my most reliable hardware -- servers, laptops, tablets -- were bought as refurbished goods at huge savings. When I go shopping for a new thing I always look at the refurbished options first.Â
tl;dr: Refurbished is great!
This helped me recently and you might need it as well :)
I recommend using PC PART PICKER
They have build guides for every budget and purpose that change quite often.
You can check other people's builds
You can use their PC Builder to personalize your machine based on your budget and it also shows the best price from various merchants.
Plus it tells you if there are compatibility or wattage issues.
They also have a Laptops section!
