● firstly, Ragatha DIDN'T DIE OR ABSTRACT... HELL YES!! i'm so goddamn happy about this. my babyyy she lives to see another episode. I was so worried about her😖.

● we got to see a maniacal, playful, chaotic, badass and enthusiastically violent Pomni in all her glory and I LOVED THAT. Pomni's my favourite. she has layers. she's deep, emotional, caring, and now...also has a real unhinged side to her when she wants to have. I fuckin love that, ngl. I also really felt for her toward the end of the ep there, obvs. one teammate 'has to betray the other' and of COURSE its JAX betraying her with his fucking 'I never actually cared about you or anyone else' speech. jesus. 💀

● and we all knew Jax had many layers before but now... BOY does this guy have some issues. holy jeez. this ep was sooo interesting in the sense that Jax has literally pushed the last person away now- Pomni, who was actually genuinely starting to warm up to him. Pomni's now understanding why no one likes him or has tried to really 'get him'. so, while Ragatha was the one saying she feels like she's pushing everyone away....that really only applies to Jax now. he's the one doing that. also, him telling Pomni that ppl are horrible to be around before they abstract, and him being exactly that? ohh no. ...he looked pretty damn unstable at the end there, perhaps on the brink of abstraction? and I....honestly don't know how to feel about that rn. don't come at me 😖.

● Kinger was his sweet, loving, 'light in the darkness (literally)' self this ep. being such a level headed father figure to Ragatha (which is so lovely considering she grew up with abusive parent/s). she was genuinely touched, and her mind cleared. Kinger's words of wisdom save the day again 🥹. and Kinger's 'I'm right behind you, aren't I...?' line was HILARIOUS. comedy gold, this show.

● abstragedy was going fuckin strong this ep. Gangle and Zooble being teamed was just perfection, I love how they hype each other up 🥲. that emotional convo had me tearing up man. Zooble being all protective and supportive.. so cute. ...and then how they both went absolutely apeshit with those guns. hell yeah...Gangle was having the time of her life there with that tommy gun LMAO. so cute and chaotic. also, not Zooble telling Caine they wanna be able to have sex in the circus 💀 honestly, mood. pfffft.

● Caine's unhinged scenes seem to be happening more often. I feel like we're on the brink of something big happening to him...he def seemed off. like... easily agitated. and like we saw in ep 3 with Caine and Zooble's therapy scenes, if he gets all existential or his abilities are doubted, that unhinged-ness boils over into the circus becoming unstable, falling apart. surely that'll happen again soon with how it's going. its exciting but uhhh...I'm so not ready 😭

love this episode overall. so funny, so deep, lots of different emotions, lots of chaos. oh and RagaPom is back. kinda. they're on good terms finally. 😭❤️

Life is Strange: Double Exposure- Initial thoughts

So. I bought the early access version and want to give my initial thoughts on this game, having played Chapter 1 and some of Chapter 2.

PLEASE DO NOT READ AHEAD IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SPOILED!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

First of all, the biggy. The huge issue everyone on social media and who has seen spoilers/played the game is ranting about right now. Some people (actually, a lot of people) are even choosing to refund their purchase, or to not interact with the game at all anymore due to this...

Deck Nine have seemed to dismiss the player's major choice from the ending of LIS 1, where we either chose to sacrifice Chloe or Arcadia Bay. The way they chose to (pretty lazily) write in how Max and Chloe broke up- (via a letter from Chloe, if we chose the 'we broke up' dialogue option at the start of this game)?.....a pretty shitty decision, and, for the majority of fans, seemingly a deal-breaker. A lot of fans are also disappointed in Chloe seemingly not being in this game at all...but I'll write more on that in a sec.

As for my opinions so far...I'm not gonna lie, yes I was a little disappointed and I can fully appreciate why so many people are hating, but it was something I could personally look past (even though I chose bae over bay). Firstly, the trailers and teasers leading up to this early access release pretty much set my expectations for this going in- that Chloe would likely not be a main part of the storyline at all, and that the major choice made at the end of LIS 1 wouldn't be, either. Okay, yes, the writing connecting this game to LIS 1 could have been a lot better. But...

Max is much older, and the story is centred on her time at Caledon, with new friends, a new setting and a new storyline. I went into this game really excited about all of these new things, instead of having my heart set on a game centred around the continuation of LIS 1.

LIS 1- related things aside for a sec... I LOVE the new setting, it's really gorgeous, I love the design of the university and all the new characters we get to meet, the soundtrack is amazing, and I'm just having such a blast playing this game. It's so cosy. And it certainly keeps the charming, cringe-at-times but hilarious dialogue and vibe we get in every other Life is Strange game, and I love it so much. The characters are all pretty unique, too, and I am quickly growing attached to some (and already hating others...lmao). Max's new ability to switch between universes is really well-done. I love using it and seeing all the, often subtle, little differences that really add to the atmosphere and the story-telling of the game imo.

So...personally I am really enjoying Double Exposure so far!

Back to the whole 'Max and Chloe' thing... it feels as though the game could (take this with a pinch of salt) go a certain way in regards to Chloe. I have a theory (a VERY far-fetched one, but a theory, nonetheless). If there is a chance of them actually having Chloe be in this game in Chapters 3, 4 or 5, it might just redeem a bit of respect back from the fandom. I don't think they will, but something in the back of my mind, a slither of hope, if you will, is saying that they might just do this...

So, in Chapters 1 and 2, Max finds polaroids that neither her in the 'Dead World' or her in the 'Living World' have taken. Suggesting that there aren't only two alternate universes. Now, all of these other alternate universes may have only 'opened' to Max in the present, but surely they aren't only influenced by what has happened to Safi. What if an alternate universe, perhaps the one that these mysterious polaroids are from, had Max and Chloe's relationship (or breakup) happen differently? Who's to say that we won't get a sudden, unexpected change in a future chapter where Max and Chloe meet in an alternate reality, where they didn't break up, or where they did break up but differently, or something like that?...I don't fucking know. I'm rambling lmao. I don't want to give false hope. Maybe I'm clutching at straws atp. But in LIS 1, remember when they (Don'tNod) completely baffled us with the whole, sudden 'polaroid time-travel, William being alive and Chloe ending up disabled' reality? If Deck Nine really wanted to take that kind of route with this game, this would be a hell of a way to do it. Take a sudden turn in a non- early access chapter, have people fooled, and all that. But this is Deck Nine- they have a 'reputation', and maybe they just fucked up.

Unless I've missed a crucial point of LIS 1 or LIS: DE where this just would not be possible (?), I just can't help but think that there could still be a little bit of hope for the people who wanted to see Chloe, or who are immensely effected and disappointed by how her and Max's relationship played out according to this game.

Probably not gonna happen, though. Just food for thought. If nothing close to this happens then I'm still going to fully appreciate and love this game either way, as I already currently am.

This is a hell of a waffle, but I just wanted to get all my thoughts down. Would love to hear anyone else's opinions on this whole thing. Do you like this game? Are you avoiding it now after hearing 'the news'? Do you hate Deck Nine? Are my thoughts on a potential turn-around completely wacko? lol. Any and all opinions welcome!

ik people want Chloe back but even if she's not there, our MAX IS BACK and she's the cutest ever and I'm so happy that we get to play as her again 😭 that's all that matters to me and anything else is just a bonus. the 'photo of a blue haired girl' in her wallet that was mentioned in the gameplay already had me smiling and shit like. this is amazing

also, as much as i cannot wait for this game...i also kinda can wait because it gives me some time to save up some money for the ultimate edition cus that shit is expensive as hell (but i need 'cat content' like what is that i need it 😭. i swear if we get a pet cat I'll be so happy. but i hope we're not able to accidentally over-water it...lmao)

anyways, Starfield finally released recently and I can't get enough of it 🤩

It was well worth the wait. there's so much to do, the characters are great, the quests are engaging and the soundtrack....it really blows me away.

I bought a series X and a new 4k UHD tv for this game and I'm so happy I did!

anyone wondering to give it a go or not, ESPECIALLY Bethesda fans, GO AND PLAY IT, you won't be bored for a good while!

...and of course, I've already married Sarah. had to be done 😅

Encanto was everything i wanted and more oh my god. what an amazing movie.

i didn't expect the soundtrack especially to blow me away as much as it did...Luisa's song caught me by surprise the most, it sounded a lot different to what I expected (in a good way).

i was so intrigued with the story from watching the trailer, and it absolutely did not disappoint. not to mention the exceptional visuals and unique characters. everything about this movie made me happy.

i'm not sure what else to say, other than PLEASE WATCH IT. you will not regret it!

going to watch Encanto tomorrow at the cinema. ever since the trailer first came out, I've been so excited to watch it.

aesthetically to me it looked like a Coco/Moana hybrid, and I love those movies so much. Encanto looks so colourful and vibrant and exciting. and its based on Columbian culture, a culture I don't think has been represented before in a Disney movie. this and the characters, music, and amazing animation quality make it all the more worthy to be excited about to me!

after watching tomorrow I'll post my afterthoughts on it :)

i played through it pretty slow because i didn't want it to end....it was such a comforting game, i just wanted to stay with steph in the dj booth forever ☺

i loved learning more about steph and her past, with coming out and drugstore makeup and Izzie, past relationships, etc

love how arcadia bay came up quite a bit. felt kinda like a bit of a conclusion to lis 1

also adored how it came full circle, with alex entering the store at the end! so good.

would recommend! i love steph so muchhh 💖

I'm sorry but I CANNOT get over the fact when Alex flirts with Steph in the LARP scene in the record store, Steph gets all flustered and nervous. SHE'S SO FUCKING ADORABLEEE. apart from the kiss scene, obvs, this scene was just a highlight of the game for me cos I'm a massive fan of fluff pahaha

and how whenever Alex sees Steph's emotions, you can see she's nervous about whether Alex is into her or not 🤭
