It’s been a long, long time since I’ve memorized your face It’s been four hours now since I’ve wandered through your place
And when I sleep on your couch I feel very safe And when you bring the blankets I cover up my face
I do love you I do love you

Random Headcanon: Link’s androgyny isn’t just an artefact of the Zelda franchise’s art direction - and neither is it particularly unusual. Sexual dimorphism among Hylians is legitimately much lower than among real-world humans; if Link and Zelda swapped clothes, you’d never be able to tell who was the girl and who was the boy.
Consequently, Hylian society depends heavily on clothing to establish gender roles, to the extent that it’s a severe faux pas to question someone’s gender presentation. If they’re dressed like a girl, then they’re a girl - even if they were dressed like a boy yesterday. That’s why nobody ever remarks upon the fact that Zelda and her heroic alter-ego Sheik are different genders; it’d be gauche at best to bring it up.
Good post op
explains why i can be banned from gerudo town, change clothes in front of the guards, and then be welcomed with open arms
shit, this absolutely provides an explanation for it that isn’t just “lazy game mechanism” and is honestly such a solid demonstration of how people should approach genderfluidity.
doesn’t matter if the first time you met the person they presented as male, if they present as female now that means they’re a woman and they’re welcome into gerudo town no questions asked
Also, Link and Zelda 100% do swap places often and you can’t tell me otherwise.
“Princess Zelda, Ganon has made his way into the kingdom! What should we do?!”
“HYAH”
I don’t go here but this is the kind of worldbuilding stuff I like
bruh what
If you ever get confused by an ancient object, show it to as many traditional handcrafters as you can. Odds are one of them will see it and go Huh.
Cross Discipline Input is vital to us all
And this shouldn’t be a criticism of historians. They can’t be expected to know all trivial details of all professions across all of time. They make conclusions on what they know. Often, they do not have the knowledge to make the correct conclusion. The lesson is that it is important to not be arrogant and look for other people who do have knowledge that might fill in the piece of the puzzle.
Someone had to do it.

More old people enjoying themselves!!! 😱
Oh the horror. Everyone knows that after 30, all fun is excised from your life by the Adult Transmogrification, but these people somehow escaped! Feel free to be inspired 😁

“You can’t argue with them like a regular person … you have to out-conspiracy theory them.”
(therapist voice) and why are you butthurt about that
“Vampires change humans, but humans change vampires,” said the vampire.
The human frowned. “Like - into humans?”
“No, no, it’s like - it’s like the sunlight thing. One day we’re fine with sunlight, and then the next day you go, ‘You know what, we’re changing the rules, now sunlight makes you burst into flames and die.’ Half of us were wiped out because we didn’t get the memo, and the other half had to go underground.”
“We never-”
“You did,” said the vampire. “Ever since Nosferatu came out, humans have known that sunlight kills vampires. It never did before, but it always has ever since.”
“Because of a movie?”
“Because of stories. That’s your part of the power. Humans tell stories to change the world around them. You don’t know you’re doing it most of the time, but whenever we get too big, you change the rules and make us start from scratch.”
“So you get super-strength, shapeshifting, flight, mind-control, and an unending bloodlust-”
“And you get to be the kid on the playground who says he has an ‘everything-proof-shield.’”
“I still think you have the better end of the deal here.”
“We really don’t. Now let me in.”
“No.”
sometimes its just like *street lights reflecting off the wet asphalt at night* maybe life isnt so ugly after all
yes exactly
apparently there was a telephone booth in the middle of the mojave desert originally meant to service miners and a guy claiming to be sent on a mission from god camped out in it for a month and answered over 500 phone calls, including one from the pentagon, and if that isn’t the most southwestern gothic shit i have ever heard then i will eat the entire mojave desert
