hey not sure if i have any Jewish followers from NJ but FYI. this is really concerning
absolutely agree with these tags. this isn't a post talking about antisemitism, it's a post warning people about a potential threat to their life
Yeah, yeah, Heinsenberg calls Lady DimitrescuĀ āLady super sized bitchā in the English version of RE8
But may I present you the French version: āLa grognasse avec son gros culā, which literally translates toĀ āThe grumpy one with her fat assā
not to get serious on main but dismissing the humanity of ordinary people living in a country because its government is terrible is fucking evil and i hate you so much. not joking. go to hell.
i will see some of you unironically saying shit like "all people from [x country] are bigots because the government is so if you acknowledge any of them as fellow human beings you're spreading their evil propaganda" or whatever and it makes me absolutely rabid because believe it or not some of us are part of the groups those regimes and their supporters oppress and we fucking live there but i guess we don't matter because we personally voted for the assholes hurting and killing us by being born in a location.
anyone else find boomer comics funny in an ironic way? like, if some kid actually said this I would think it's fucking hilarious
But institutional racism is imaginary, right?
Watch.

gif request meme: @spiiderman asked lucifer + favourite familial relationship
Really, Luci? You asked me here just to tell me that? No, no, no, I thought Iād use you to remedy a situation that Iāve mishandled, and annoy you in the process. Kill two birds with one prayer sort of thing.
you know what. considering that trans men are way more likely to experience hostility from health care workers when we get pregnantĀ (2), and manyĀ trans menĀ are sexually assaulted and need abortions, and trans men often do not receive adequate care for reproductive issues and cancer,Ā and most of us will be outright refused care because we are transgender at some point in our livesĀ (2), if you believe that trans men who ask to be acknowledged in the current discussions about abortion/reproductive justice areĀ āmaking it all about menā or monopolizing the conversation in any way, you need to rethink that.Ā
trans men/transmasculine people are welcome to share your stories and experiences in the notes, everyone else please do not speak over us.Ā
An announcement is played all across the earth, āWe recently discovered your patron deity has committed gross negligence. He has been promptly sacked and a new deity has been given His position, effective immediately. Apologies for the slow response in dealing with this issue.ā
We need to talk more about this.
A number of experts (such as Dr. Russell Barkley) have advocated changing the name of ADHD,as it does a very poor job of describing a handful of symptoms, and entirely ignores the root cause. As I recall, his preference was Executive Function Deficit Disorder, which does a much better job of describing what is happening, and has the benefit of beingĀ āI have a condition which causes difficulty in performing these types of tasksā rather thanĀ āI donāt pay attention and canāt sit stillā, which more closely tracks toĀ ādisabilityā.
Which more closely tracks with abled perception of disability*
losing it over this
Btw, the arm soreness after vaccination is a combination of the needle going into the muscle, the muscle fibers being slightly stretched by the injection of fluid between them, and then the inflammation of the immune system realizing something foreign is in the arm and getting ticked off about it (this is good, it's the beginning of your immune response!).
Doctors recommend you keep the arm moving to keep blood flowing which can help reduce soreness. Ice packs also help!
Also, don't take pain relievers before the shot--like Tylenol or ibuprofen. Especially ibuprofen. This is out of an abundance of caution to prevent them from interfering with your body's immune system.
Inflammation is part of the process of attacking foreign things in the body, and these medications reduce inflammation, thus some doctors are afraid they might also inhibit the body's ability to make enough antibodies. Especially NSAIDs.
If the fever gets too bad, by all means, take one. Just reserve it for when you actually need it.
I get my information from multiple nurses and the customer service of one of the companies involved with the vaccines and tests (my mom). Don't take meds before the shot!! Prescriptions are fine, but everything else don't take until at LEAST 2 hours after the injection. It sucks, I know. Fevers suck. I spent my entire weekend after the second injection feeling like trash because I'm dumb and just refuse ibuprofen anyways.
^^^ This!
I believe antihistamines were also on the list alongside things like ibuprofen (and it's name brands like Motrin and Advil) and Tylenol.
Don't take it shortly before your vaccination or, ideally, soon after.
Wait until you really feel like you need it. If you're several hours into symptoms that are just making you absolutely miserable, it's okay to take something to tell your immune system to 'dial it back a notch'. But it's not a bad idea to tough it out as long as you can.
And yes, if you're taking something as a prescription for a condition (like steroids) and you aren't sure, consult with your doctor first! Don't stop your medication. People are generally being advised not to stop medications that are being used to treat a condition. If you're concerned, try to get ahold of your doctor to discuss it.
If you can, Iād recommend taking a day off the day after your 2nd shot.
Yeah, definitely. If it's not scheduled for like, right before the weekend, consider taking the day after your 2nd vaccination off if possible.
i can promise you that if you think differing opinions on the weird dumb space wizards from a sci-fi fantasy film franchise that is over 40 years old are important enough that you have to come into my inbox, insult me personally, tell me to die, then i am not kidding you are so obsessed with this shit you need to delete your account. you need to go do something else. you need to never watch star wars again, because clearly you cannot handle it. it's genuinely not that deep
at work we have dogs that we have to label as not allowed to have tennis balls because they get so obsessed with the ball they start guarding it, and that's you guys with star wars somehow. yoda is NOT going to fuck you. sorry you had to find out this way
I donāt disagree that D&D players who insist on trying stupid shit like using create water to flood peopleās lungs or teleport to snatch organs out of peopleās bodies are a problem, but I think a lot of commentaries on why itās a problem are missing the mark.
Like, yes, itās true that itās unfair to non-spellcasters, and that these sorts of exploits often rely on perverse readings that can be countered by pointing out that ā for example ā the human body isnāt an āopen containerā in the sense that the description of create water is using it, or that you donāt have line of sight to peopleās internal organs, but thatās not the reason those stunts are bad for the game.
The reason this sort of thing is a problem is because doing it requires you to engage in bad faith. No set of rules can foreclose on every possible perverse reading without becoming unwieldy ā just look at pro sports rulebooks to see where that gets you! Even the most rules-heavy tabletop RPGs necessarily assume that youāre reading for intent as well as for the explicit text, and most such exploits are clearly counter to that intent.
Itās like bringing a twenty-sided die that reads ā20ā³ on every face to the table, and when you get caught, insisting that your die ought to be allowed because the rules merely specify that you should roll a twenty-sided die ā they donāt specify how the faces of that die should be enumerated.
Without that presumption of good faith, the relationship between the GM and the players stops being one of creative collaboration and becomes that of a mere referee, and forcing your GM to play full time Rules Cop isnāt fun for anyone unless youāre the sort of hypercompetitive asshole who approaches every social interaction as an invitation to intellectual combat.
(Honestly, itās a pretty poor way to win at intellectual combat, too. Respecting the spirit of the rules is by no means incompatible with creative play; if youāve been given a spell that can conjure up to ten gallons of water into any open container within thirty feet at the flick of a wrist, and the best thing you can think of to do with it is try to drown people, if anything that reflects a lack of creativity!)
He should have a parenthesis around the 230-220 or else in the order of operations would default to 220x0.5, thus making the equation 230-110=120
that's the joke actually!
"5!" with the exclamation point is a factorial, so 5!=5x4x3x2x1=120
FUCK I FUCKING HATE THIS AND I FUCKING HATE MATH (ćą² ēą² )ćå½”ā»āā»
You canāt argue with transmisogynists. You canāt debate them. You really shouldnāt provide them a platform. Let them stay in their echo chambers, yelling at each other.
What you can do:
Make your undeniable, irrefutable support for trans women known.
Make posts on your blogs, your Twitter, your Facebook. Support crowdfunding for trans women, or at least spread the word about the fundraisers. Tell your friends, your family, your coworkers.
Transmiogynists donāt care what trans women have to say. They donāt want to care. But when cis people make their support known and undeniable, they lose their target demographic. And trans women know, thereās one more person we can feel less afraid around.
I donāt normally add to posts but Iād also like to point out that bashing transmisogynists is not supporting trans women. Actively listening to trans women when they talk about their experiences and focusing your support around trans women and their needs and safety, rather than just shitting on transmisogynists and calling it a day, is what folks mean when they say āsupport trans women.ā
