Important rules for the "age verification" era of the internet that we're living in:
1. Do not do age verification.
2. If you have to do age verification, cheat. Do not under any circumstances give them your real ID.
The tool presents users with a 3D model they can then manipulate to, the creator says, bypass Discord's age verification system.
Oh no I dropped my link, what a horrible thing! Sure hope this doesn't get reblogged until it reaches users from the UK and Brazil!
And remember to not make a second account just to test out what works best when verifying your identity
A reminder that we still dont support Age Verification bullshit.
US Book ban on LGBTQIA books
The nationwide book ban bill, HR 7661, has progressed out of committee and into the House. Here's what you need to know to take action.
At least hit the shiny repost button if you're going to do nothing else. This should not stand.
Stop the bill dead in its tracks. LGBTQIA people have a right to be represented in books.

If you see this on your dashboard, reblog this, NO MATTER WHAT and all your dreams and wishes will come true.
Oh hey! Haven’t seen this in forever! Didn’t reblog it when it came across me before, not gonna skip it this time, I need some good vibes.
No ICE in Minnesota: 1439 items for $10.00
If you love weird art and hate fascists, itch.io has a "No ICE in Minnesota" bundle with proceeds benefiting the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota. (My friend works there!)
There is... so much stuff in there. "Joggernauts" is one of my wife's favorite games, and I've been looking at getting "Inspirisles" for literally years. There's a bunch of game assets, writing tools, solo games, books, zines, music... I got overwhelmed just scrolling through it. Definitely worth the $10 to an important organization.

How is bnha anime of the decade...... they aren’t even anime of the hour of the minute of the second
The notes on this post were so toxic that staff just axed em
1969.........
Yes, when the original post is deleted from the server (not just the blog, but the Tumblr servers), there is no root post for notes to be added onto, and also no root post for time to be counted from, so it starts from zero. Most computer operating systems use Unix, which was launched in 1971 with t.he epoch date of midnight on January 1, 1970 as 1. Therefore zero is one second behind that date: December 31, 1969. Also, very unfortunately, this also means nobody except you and anyone you reblog it to will see this explanation, as you cannot open the notes to see comments when there are no notes.
Tumblr is truly one of the webbed sites ever

post's haunted.
I love this picture so much! Post it whenever I come across it.
Inner Mongolian Child
The little girl’s name is Butedmaa and she was just 5 when this picture was taken in 2003 by Han Chengli.
(I used to have a printout of this at my desk at work because I just loved looking at it so much.)
Kind of a weird time for this maybe but I made a comic essay about the video game Blue Prince and my experience playing it. Very, very good game.
There's no spoilers for puzzles or lore btw
FAQ:
what is this project?
the Aspec Quilt Project is a virtual community quilt for people on the aromantic and/or asexual spectrums. if that's you, you're invited to create and submit a "quilt square" to be posted here on the blog and eventually added to the virtual quilt at the end of the project.
who can join? do I have to be ace? do I have to be aro?
anyone who resonates with aromantic and/or asexual spectrum identities in any capacity is welcome to join! you don't have to hold any specific label/identity - if this project speaks to you, it is for you.
are submissions anonymous?
they can be! in the submission form, you'll be able to choose whether you'd like to be credited for your square or not. if you'd like to submit yours totally anonymously, you are welcome to do so. *note: the file upload is linked to your google account, so I may be able to view the name/email connected to your google account. if you are uncomfortable with this, feel free to send a quilt square through dm or an anonymous ask.
what is a community quilt?
a community quilt is traditionally a co-created sewn blanket made up of many fabric squares. quilting has a rich history of supporting community building and advocacy, especially within the queer community.
what goes on a quilt square?
a quilt square can include anything you want! words, images, digital media, photos--anything that reflects your experience as someone on the aro/ace spectrum. all I ask is that it is in a jpeg/png format and square-shaped 🙏
are there size/resolution recommendations? how will squares be displayed?
there are no particular size/resolution recommendations. most of the squares that have been submitted so far are around 1000-2000 square pixels. in the final quilt, squares will be oriented upright (rather than tilted/diagonal.)
how do I submit a quilt square?
you can submit a quilt square here!
what will happen with the quilt at the end of the project?
submissions close December 6th. after that, I will gather all of the submitted quilt squares into a "virtual quilt" image that will be posted on this blog and available for download.

the co-founder of 'crips for esims for gaza' and disability advocate, alice wong, has died according to her twitter account.
alice's disability advocacy naturally led her to palestine solidarity as the quote from the blog post announcing 'crips for esims' illustrates:
We also recognize that everyone in Gaza is now disabled due to the massive number of deaths, new disabilities, life-threatening illnesses and destruction of medical facilities going on. Such destruction also debilitates the land, water, and air, which will impact Palestinians and all surrounding life for generations to come. We owe our kin in Palestine to throw sand on the gears of genocide with our every breath. [source: the disability visibility project]
since december 2023, crips for esims for gaza has raised well over $3.1M and bought and maintained over 5,000 esims, undoubtedly saving lives.
in the past few days there has been intense winter flooding in gaza. donate to honor alice wong's memory–to keep people connected, to give disabled people the tools to advocate for themselves, to refuse to let palestine be silenced.
Crips for eSims for Gaza is a collaboration between Jane Shi, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, and Alice Wong.
I am devastated by these news.... Alice Wong wrote Disability Visibility a powerful collection of writings by and for disabled people.
Her works Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the Twenty-First Century (2020) andd Disability Intimacy: Essays on Love, Care, and Desire (2024) are some of my favorite non fiction about disability justice.
Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the Twenty-First Century (Vintage Books, 2020) Click here for more about the anthology adap
Please take a moment to read about her work.
And donate to the cause!!! She fought for all of us. Disabled or not
ID1: a photo of Alice Wong, a middle-aged Asian-American woman with intense plum-coloured lipstick and a tracheostomy tube, sitting in a grassy area.
ID2: screenshot of text on bright yellow background — This is Alice's friend Sandy Ho, posting. Per Alice's wishes, this message is being shared at the time of her passing. “Hi everyone, it looks like I ran out of time. I have so many dreams that I wanted to fulfill and plans to create new stories for you. There are a few in progress that might come to fruition in a few years if things work out. I did not ever imagine I would live to this age and end up a writer, editor, activist, and more. As a kid riddled with insecurity and internalized ableism, I could not see a path forward. It was thanks to friendships and some great teachers who believed in me that I was able to fight my way out of miserable situations into a place where I finally felt comfortable in my skin. We need more stories about us and our culture. You all, we all, deserve the everything and more in such a hostile, ableist environment. Our wisdom is incisive and unflinching. I'm honored to be your ancestor and believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future. Don't let the bastards grind you down. I love you all.”
