there's an inherent comedy to shaunbecca though (is that the ship name?) bc yes obviously post-2012 it's like some kind of bonnie and clyde type thing going on with varying degrees of domesticity but while they're still with desmond it's like. desmond and lucy are having this crazy will-they-won't-they, how-can-i-trust-you, mad-scientist-and-test-subject kinda dynamic with emotionally fraught tension so thick you could cut it with a knife, and then meanwhile shaun and rebecca are on the other end of the room and without looking up from their respective screens they're like "do you wanna go have sex" "yeah sure" (synchronized laptop shutting) (they wander off to another room still holding their laptops while lucy is monologuing through barely-held-back tears and desmond is collapsing mid-stunt from timewarp hallucinations)

Unpopular opinion but if you don't enjoy the process you should find a different thing to do.

And I think this is true in general but now I'm talking about it in the context of AI.

If you don't enjoy making art and only care about the end piece and how it'll look and how much traction it"lol get online then making art is not something for you, find something you enjoy from start to finish.

Same goes for writing: if you do not enjoy writing and rewriting and then some more and instead want AI to write for you, being a writer is not something you should pursue.

Sure, not every part of creative process is going to be equally enjoyable but you should get satisfaction from solving the problems along the way and you should get a sense of accomplishment on your way of "making the piece yours" and you should have a sense of ownership once you are done.

None of these things will come from typing in a prompt into chatGPT. And I am sad to see so many people are missing on the opportunity to experience the joy of making something with their own hands and brains.

I'm too much of a sucker for the tragedy of Wicked's ending to take any of this seriously, but the funniest possible fix-it concept is that Glinda just. Does not know. How the fuck. To send this 12yo back to Kansas. Like why the hell would she know how to do that?? Who thought it was a good idea to leave her in charge of this???

And from Dorothy's POV, this is such a funny concept: imagine for a minute that you (a child) wake up in a Fairy-Land, become best friends with a (possibly mentally unstable?) talking scarecrow, and are told by the god-kind that you must go murder his political rival before he'll send go home. Fine. This might as well happen.

And when you return from said murder - which is somehow successful - it turns out the god-king is a fraud and cannot help you. Whoops. Well, how about the OTHER seemingly most powerful person in the country? Ah, no....it turn out she had pretty limited powers in the magic department. And they're mostly bubble-related.

So she takes you (by bubble) to a tiny seaside town on the edge of the map to seek the help of her most powerful friends….the woman you just murdered and your scarecrow best friend who was an accomplice to that murder. And apparently, they’ve all three been dating since undergrad.

I mean, what do you even do with that.

Worse, they can't figure out how to transport you between realms either, and now you're stuck being raised Two and a Half Men style by your murder victim (she got better), your scarecrow BFF (aka your murder victim's situationship), and their girlfriend....the new Pope.
