tips for allos and alloaces on how to actually include, support and boost aro voices, with explanations.
Dont tag posts only relating to asexuality with "aromantic".
[the aromantic tag is already flooded with asexuality posts that have nothing to do with aromanticism, because we are often seen as synonymous with asexuality, which is completely untrue.]
When you say aspec, you should include aromantics.
[aspec means ace and aro spectrum. if you mean ace spectrum say acespec, we share the A.]
If you are speaking about aphobia, talk about aromantic struggles too.
[Similar to the point above, aphobia refers to both acephobia and arophobia. If you are specifically talking about acephobia call it as such. Aromantics have specific struggles that differ from aces, and posts about aphobia need to consider us too.]
Consider calling ace discourse aspec discourse, or just aphobia (because it really isn't discourse, its just aphobia at this point).
[Aromantics are harmed by the discourse too, by calling it acecourse you are actively distancing us from our own issues. Saying aromantics are victims of acecourse specifically implies aro is synonymous with ace, untrue, call it something else.]
Understand not all aros are ace.
[Its literally just like how not all aces are aro. Its easy. Some of us allosexual and aro, some of us dont label our sexuality either.]
Dont say "aspec and arospec" or "aphobia and arophobia"
[Literally pushing us out of our own community. Aspec includes arospec, aphobia includes arophobia. Stop this shit. Stop separating us.]
Recognizing that alloromantic aces can be extremely arophobic.
[Alloaces have torn the aro community apart by throwing us under the bus in literally any conversation that is had about aspec issues, excluding us from aspec content and blatantly repeating aphobic rhetoric such as "we can still love" "at least we can date" and "romantic love is more important than sexual love". Alloaces have a privilege within the aspec community, recognize that.]
Alloromantics (yes, even asexual alloromantics) should recognize and own up to when what they say or do is arophobic.
[Why is it so hard for you to do this. All you have to do is listen to aros.]
Recognizing asexuals are not exempt from aphobia.
[Aphobia refers to aromantics to. A lot of aces can be arophobic. Own up to it.]
Understanding aromantic terms such as aplatonic, qpr, qpp, and so on.
[At least learn our terms before judging them.]
Understanding that asexuality isnt lack of romantic attraction, and that aromanticism is.
[I cannot count how many times ive seen people mix up the terms and concluding them to be the same, leading to more aro erasure.]
Saying stuff about how the A is for asexual without any mention of aromantics is a big no no.
[We share the A.]
Understand that the term ace inclusionist blatantly ignores aromantics and how we are often excluded (even in aspec spaces.)
[Call yourself an aro inclusionist too, or simply call yourself an aspec inclusionist. There are ace inclusionists who do not support aros.]
Alloromantic asexuals hijacking posts specifically made for aros and aros only is exhausting.
[Our own tag is already filled with ace content, why would you go onto one of our only aro specific posts and make it about asexuality.]
And last, although I have so much more to complain about regarding alloromantics:
Dont clown on posts aromantics make being upset at alloromantics, yes even if youre asexual, all alloromatics contribute to aromantic harm.
We are tired and for good reason.
