Ever have something to share thatās so good that you canāt contain it, youāre watching people struggle like, there is a better way, like, I know the antidote. In the Bible Jeremiah says āHis word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.ā The scriptures are called the āGood Newsā for a reason. When I started skateboarding there was such freedom in it I wanted everyone to know, it was like traditional sports were like religion full of rules and skateboarding was like a relationship with the creator free to create your greatest future. There is such a brotherhood, no color lines or economic status separating us, a good skate session is what a good church looks like, maybe even Heaven. All types of people gathering with a common interest, to create a better future together, a family passionately driven, persevering, sacrificing for each other, figuring life out. Skateboarding gave me everything I have, so when I wear a piece of clothing itās like Iām putting on my armor, church gave me everything I was missing so when I hold the scriptures itās like there is a sword in my hand, cutting away the mess in life. I thank God for gluing the pieces together like a beautiful @mosaic My Pastor @erwinmcmanus says āWe are all artists at work and works of art,ā that āwe are created in the likeness of the ultimate creator in order to create.ā So then if creativity is a direct result of spirituality Iāve been in a relationship with God all my life. Reflecting at the end of the year is good to see how far you have come, visualize the grandeur of the journey ahead, appreciate that those you were once carrying are being let off healthy or they were taking someone elseās spot to occupy. You canāt take everyone into the future when their role was meant to be in your past. Iām a father, I have an amazing wife, Iām going to be 50, feeling stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually than I ever have at one time.
