A note taking method:
When reading something, watching, listening or whatever. Make a note when any of one of the following three things are met.
1. You don't understand the sentence.
2. You understand the sentence but ask, "but why?"
3. You understand it perfectly and you think to yourself "omg, obviously, how could I not realise, and I am never going to forget this interesting fact!"
This is in no way meant to be revolutionary, I just thought of it and refuse to google to find out it is an actual thing, and I want to employ it in the future as normally I have no idea how to take notes.
My thinking behind it.
Most information in a text book, or doc, or whatever, is fluff that we already know, or things we could discover from context. The things we actually need to note are the things that; we don't understand, we want to understand more, think we should already understand.
The first 2 are kind of obvious but the third trips me up a lot.
An example.
Someone says, "I am a person". You understand this and it's no real surprise. You would figure this out on your own. Not worth noting.
Then they say "I am a *unknown Noun*". You don't understand as this is not a thing you have heard of. Take note, must look into this further.
Next they say, "as a *Now known noun*, I can sweat diamonds" this sentence makes grammatical sense. You understand it. But why/how does that work? Note that down for further investigation.
Finally they say "my name is Jack", and you think "oh revolutionary, I have a name for this being. And it makes sense, how could I possibly forget this! There is no need to write that down." NOTE THAT DOWN!

close tumblr this instant
love you
But I just got here...
The most annoying thing about learning lessons is, that's great for the future, but right now I've been fucked over.
Life is just... like.... can I pause it? I don't want it to end but I need to pause it. Not a break, not a holiday, just.... pause.
Will Twitter people come back to tumblr for the nudes or go to reddit for.... More opinions?
When posts catch you so off gaurd that you have a genuine wheeze laugh and near tears in your eyes. Then you read again and your like uuuhh ok? Like yeah it was funny but not that good but still.. Fucking hilarious.
I am unsure of what this was supposed to feel like. I hope I find it again.
Bleugh

I used to think when people said they didn't know how to cook, they meant they aren't good at making curry from scratch or bread or whatever.
Then I found out some people really struggle with much more then a Sandwhich! I don't want to shame but I am just surprised and worried about these people. I want to start something specifically aimed at these people just to help make your food a tiny bit more exciting and show how easy it can be.
I don't want any shame on these people I just worry about you.
When doing anything. I either need 6 other forms of engaging material or devices to make it worth my time, OR it is the only thing in the world for that moment. Unfortunately the super focus only applies to things that are the least possibly productive things I could be doing.
Friend: What does this say?
Me: no idea.
F: but it's in German!
M: that's makes it less likely I can read it.
F: but your learning German?!... Wait you thought it was English and still said no?
M: correct.
F:...... Your useless.
M: correct again.
I quite often have imposter syndrome but started to deal with it. Was pretty happy with myself UNTIL a friend helped me out looking for a job and I now have an interview for a manager position when I've only done 6 months as a graduate as an engineer!
The FUCK am I supposed to do in this interview!?
Those days when you think...
The person who invented the word useless probably just had an image of me in their head. Didn't know who I was but new... Useless

Show me how to Tumblr
.... I'm scared
Reddit has some weird subs and you can find yourself amongst some pretty fucked up opinions. But you kind of have to look for them in some way.
I have had tumblr for 2 days and because I followed tags that are innocent but totally generic and used on whatever. I am seeing shit immediately left field and making me concerned about the use of this app.
