Asterid March, who falls in love with a Seam boy at the age of 16.
Asterid March, who watches her best friend die in Haymitch's arms.
Asterid Everdeen, who moves down to the Seam because who needs money when they have love? Asterid Everdeen, who loses both of her parents at an unknown point. Asterid Everdeen, whose first baby is the spitting image of Burdock.
Asterid Everdeen, who can't believe her husband is stupid enough to teach their daughters that Hanging Tree song, and they were making nooses, Burdock! And more miners die on her table, and more children starve across the Seam.
Asterid Everdeen, who buries her husband, because anything good in the world is taken by the Capitol. Asterid Everdeen, who is aware that her children are starving like every other Seam child, and it's her fault. Because if she hadn't married Burdock, if she hadn't done the foolish thing and risked it all for love, then they'd be safe. And tesserae's an option, but then they'll end up like Maysilee. The mines always need workers, but then they'll end up like Burdock. The Head Peacekeeper stops the whippings, but has a habit of taking girls into his bed.
Asterid Everdeen, who watches her older daughter take the place of her younger one. Who watches her older daughter risk it all for love. Who remembers what happened to the Abernathys. Who pivots when the media asks who Gale is. Who sends food into the Seam wherever she can. Asterid Everdeen, who can feel the noose getting tighter.
Asterid Everdeen, who sees more of herself in Alma Coin than she'd care to admit, who watches another man from the Capitol turn her daughter into a symbol, who screams when Prim sneaks off to the Capitol and then follows her.
Asterid Everdeen, who cannot leave Katniss's side in the hospital and then cannot be near her because if Asterid stops moving, she will fall into the abyss again.
Asterid Everdeen, who cannot go home because there is no home to return to. Asterid Everdeen, who starts the first district hospital. Asterid Everdeen, who cries with Katniss when her older daughter is ready to talk.
Asterid Everdeen, who heard Maysilee whisper, "Nothing you can take from me was ever worth keeping," and then the Capitol took everything she had.
I wish Katniss understood friendship before the games. I say that because although she refers to Gale as her “best friend” a few times, he really wasn’t.
A friend wants to be in your company at school, just comfortable in silence. They spend their time teaching you to the play the piano and letting you take them into the woods to learn more about you. They bring you medicine when they know someone you care about is hurt.
They know how to say sorry. They want to be around you without any romantic expectation. They know your favourite food and colour and you are absolutely comfortable and soothed just being in their presence. You remember small details about them because you care.
Friends don’t refuse your help because of your success and they certainly don’t guilt you for caring about others.
I really wish that it didn’t take her so much trauma to understand what friendship was. Thankfully, she was able to understand and gain new ones through her experiences.
people who don’t ship hayffie because of sotr are annoying as fuck. let a man move on, he doesn’t have to live mourning leonore forever.
Faces in the Crowd
"You've grown old Daniel". Cut the cameras, deadass. They saved each other😭. This Danlou shit is important to me.
daniel and louis uncovering the fact that louis was daniel’s guardian angel absolutely floors me. it’s yet another way that daniel is a parallel to claudia. claudia called louis an angel and louis led her to her death. louis acted as daniel’s angel and daniel was able to grow old. it’s such a redeeming moment for louis, who has grown accustomed to believing he destroys every life he touches.
Ilya: this guy is cute, I should start a stationary bike race so he knows I want to get sweaty together
Ilya: that didn’t quite work. Maybe I should just give him the eye? While I tell him I hope he likes his new city?
Ilya: okay. But surely if I make him drink from my water bottle and brush his fingers when passing it over…?
Ilya: call him pretty. To his face. No way he can miss that
Ilya: desperate measures, I’ll have to tell him I orchestrated this whole ad campaign just so I could see him again
Ilya: WHAT IF I STARTED JERKING OFF IN THESE COMUNAL SHOWERS?
Seeing a Pro-Feyre blog dedicated to "Nesta's victims" is weird considering Feyre has thousands of innocent victims spread throughout Prythian.
I really don't care if people stan Feyre because anyone can stan whoever they want and they don't need a reason to justify it, but I really don't think Feyre stans understand who they're stanning. They act like she's this saint or goddess who has never wronged a single soul, but all Feyre does is wrong people - she just very rarely owns up to it. The qualities that the narrarative tells us exist within Feyre are not the qualities that actually exist within canon Feyre, yet so many of her stans don't seem to be able to sense the dichotomy.
Most of the time, I see Feyre stans loving on Feyre, the character they're really loving on is Nesta. Most of the time, I see Feyre stans hating on Nesta, the character they're really hating on is Feyre. Yet they seem blissfully ignorant to this fact.
I don't care who people stan, but at least know who you're stanning.
You’ve inspired me to make a “Feyre’s Victims” blog. That being said, it would be almost every character in the book and that would take forever.
one story told in two different ways but the only detail that remains the same is Lestat holding Claudia gently and carefully
don't be a stranger...
Apparently I'm back into the hunger games fandom (I always loved it but it's EXTREME again) because of my teacher who thought like hey let's watch the first film in class.
All I want to say in this post ist
I love Elizabeth Banks
I love Woody Harrelson
I love Hayffie
And yes I know about Lenore Dove. BUT SHE IS DEAD. AND IT IS NOT REALISTIC THAT IF YOU HAVE SUCH A CHEMISTRY WITH SOMEONE ELSE AND YOUR GIRL IS DEAD THAT YOU CAN'T FIND A SECOND LOVE! SO GET YA FUCK TOGETHER AND LIVE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH THE ONE ALIVE!
Okay so that's basically all I wanted to say. What do you guys think? Do you like Hayffie?
And remember this is just MY opinion.
Little update to this bedtime Everlark 🌙

Anyone who believes Katniss should have ended up with Gale doesn't understand her character but anyone who believes that Gale is pure evil doesn't understand his
finally did the trend
I think that was the last straw for me when the IC said that if Tamlin found out Feyre was pregnant, he might freak out and go there. Then Rhysand says that if he did that, he would kill him. But... it was you, Rhysand, who incited Tamlin to fight him, not Tamlin; he even kicked you out of his manor. What is he going to do in the Night Court? Tamlin has already shown that he's not that stupid. Although, depending on Sarah, wanting to put more "emotion" and "heroism" on the IC's shoulders is quite possible that this will happen in the next book.
there is always a little part of me that thinks about hijacked peeta. and the circles under his eyes darkening with each passing day.
and him not knowing what to do about it.
he doesn't know that he couldn't sleep very well before the hijacking. and the only thing that would help him is having katniss with him. being able to hold her. and feel her next to him.
hijacked peeta just doesn't know. and imagine how scary that must be.
to think that this is it. this is the reality of living. no sleep. no rest for the weary. no reprieve from the cruel world.
but finally, just as he begins to claw his way back to her and she finally lets herself get closer to him, she reaches out to stroke his hair. deep down in the capitol tunnels.
and after the initial shock of katniss touching him, he relaxes into her hand. flooded with relief. with peace.
letting him finally drift off to sleep. with the steady, calming knowledge that she is there. watching him. protecting him. caring for him.
and what a wonderful feeling that is.
