Dear person reading this, you’re talented. If you can’t do any of the arts, that’s fine. You don’t have to be good at doing plays, writing, drawing or playing music. If you’re not good at any schoolwork, that’s fine. You have that other special thing that you do constantly. If you don’t play sports, then that’s great too. You don’t have to.

If your art doesn’t turn out to what you want it to look like—speaking to all art forms—just remember, when you’re showing it to someone, they didn’t have that same idea in your head. They’re seeing it for the first time! To them, it’s like gold, even though to you it’s just bronze painted gold.

Dear person reading this, you’re incredibly smart. In or out of school. You’re smart, you manage to navigate the world every single day! You’re learning things you didn’t even realize! Hell, you’re even mastering some of them!

If you’re in school, and you can’t keep certain grades up even though you’re trying, don’t worry about it. As long as you tried your absolute hardest—even if it isn’t that much!—you tried. And you get to say that you did. But, don’t use those grades against yourself. They don’t define you, don’t let them define you.

Dear person reading this, you’re loved beyond your control. No matter what situation you’re in at the moment, there’s always someone that loves you. I’m one of them! I don’t even know you and I already know you’re amazing!

Every single day someone thinks of you at least once and they smile to themselves. If it isn’t your parents, then it’s your friends. If it isn’t your friends, it’s some random kid that looks at you during the day every day to make sure you’re there. Your friends who text you, on any social media platform. Anyone who likes or follows you, retweets or reblogs, comments or DMS you, there’s always someone thinking about you.

Dear person reading this, you have potential. I know you don’t see it right now, or if you do, then great. But there’s always something directing you on the path for a reason. If you need to reach your dreams, then reach far, because I know you can! I believe in you, other people believe in you! You can do it.

Dear person reading this, stop saving things to use at the “perfect time”. I hate to break it to you, but that time is never coming. Summer body saving for next year? Do it now. Wear the new clothes you just bought! Wash them later.

If you try and save it for something special, and all these events are passing you by, you’re missing out. There’s no perfect time to do it, then now. Eat the chocolate bar! But show self-control by saving some of it for later. Show discipline but not enough to bring yourself down.

It’s gonna be okay. This year is a crazy mess, with COVID-19, earthquakes, tornadoes, the bushfires, etc. For all of my lovely friends, even if I haven’t met you yet, I am here. I get it. Anxiety sucks. My discord is .Anna.#4246, my fandom username is Panakes pancakes, and you know what my tumblr is, you’re reading it now. If anyone needs to talk, I’m on from 5 am CDT to 6pm CDT. Even though coronavirus is causing panic, some good things have happened too.

Frozen 2 came out on Disney+ 3 months early, March 15.  Shannon Messenger released some deleted Keefe lines from kotlc.

Some other things also happened that I can’t think of right now. (ik,ik.)

Stay safe. Wash your hands, don’t meet in groups over 10 people, try to avoid close contact, and stay away from sick people. If you just traveled on a plane, try to stay home and self-quarantine for two weeks. This virus won’t last forever. Also, DO NOT BUY ALL THE TOILET PAPER. That will do nothing. Also, a tip, using handgel to much will actually make the germs more resistant to the antibodies. So basically, it won’t be as effective. 

Coronavirus is not as bad as the media says it is. Several people who had it said that their symptoms were like common cold.

The virus targets older people or people with health conditions.

*shrugs* I don’t know what I’m doing at literally any point ever so…no idea.

In all seriousness, practice is the most important thing! Practice and passion. Write a lot, even if it’s terrible at first, because that’s how you get better. And love your writing! If you love writing, no matter if your grammar is clumsy or your phrasing is awkward, your passion will show and you will improve!

Roleplaying as Bronte in the RP group is really fun because I’m a cinnamon roll, playing a character who’s a cinnamon roll who pretends to be grumpy, so it all works out. Plus half of it is him going ‘I’m not nice!’ *does nice thing*

So much has happened since I made it. For one thing, I’ve been able to connect with the rp group a lot better by joining the discord, have met some of the coolest fucking people (you guys know who you are and ily), and generally grown a lot.

But Bronte is still a grumpy cinnamon roll.

Anyone want some pain? No? TOO BAD. It’s angst time, folks, because I finally got around to writing part of the Pyren Brothers AU! Not very much of it, just a snippet, but have some Fintan-waiting-for-his-mind-to-be-broken angst. (And I know it’s unrealistic that they would let him have paper, assume that it’s somehow fireproof.)

Fintan Pyren does not regret many things. He does not regret joining the Neverseen or leading it. He does not regret using his ability to harm, rather than to help. He does not regret refusing to tell the Council anything.

He does not regret that he will have his mind broken. He does regret who will have to order the shattering.

There are not many things that Fintan Pyren regrets, but that does not mean he has no regrets. He regrets the look on Bronte’s face as he half-begged Fintan to cooperate. He regrets the tears he thought he saw in his brother’s eyes as Fintan refused again and again. He regrets the betrayal and the hurt written in every part of his brother, hidden from most but obvious to Fintan, who could always read Bronte like an open book. He regrets the vote that Bronte will cast, the decision he will be forced to make.

So Fintan picks up the pen, places it on the paper they allowed him, and writes. There are no words to say what needs to be said, but he will try.

The words come easily, once he begins. Pages upon pages of writing. Tales of a childhood now long-gone, memories of younger, happier times. Apologies and denials. Explanations and refusals. No lies. He writes what is in his head, what is true. He lays down on paper the truth of him, every facet of the gemstone he would be, every flickering flame in the blaze of his spirit. Bronte deserves that at least, for tomorrow he will lose a brother. Perhaps he has already lost one, for Fintan ceased to be truly his brother the day he first lied to Bronte about his involvement with the Neverseen.

Regardless of if he is already lost, Fintan can no longer be the brother he used to be, the brother Bronte needed (and still needs), and soon Fintan will be as good as dead. So he offers for a poor replacement this ink on paper, and he hopes it will be enough. (It won’t be. It can never be what Fintan was. But it will be enough to hold Bronte together for a little while longer, and that’s good enough for Fintan. It has to be.)

He writes through the night, refusing to lose a single moment before his mind will be shattered forever. His words fill page after page, and soon before the Council’s telepath is set to arrive, Fintan writes three final words.

I love you. 

When Sophie and Alden arrive, he will face them with no fear. He is not afraid. He does not regret. His only regret now is that he will never see his brother again.

I’m sorry, Bronte. I can’t be the brother you loved any longer.
