“Can you even say it with a straight face?”
I would just personally like to thank the creators of The Last Jedi for not buying into the weird headcanon that Kylo Ren isn’t a good pilot and showing us point blank in the trailer that he absolutely is an excellent pilot and a gearhead who flies a modified tie to his own specifications because he’s picky af about his ships.
Just like his nerd dadÂ
And grandadÂ
And uncleÂ
And even his mother
and grandmother to a lesser degree.Â
What is up with the headcanon that Ben Solo could never fly so that’s why Han didn’t like him?Â
It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. First of all its a gross over simplification of the complicated relationship that occurs between many fathers and sons. And secondly, when you have both a genetic predisposition to piloting talent and also grow up in and around ships constantly, it’s pretty impossible not to have a natural aptitude for it.Â
And lastly, is it even possible to be a bad pilot if you are gifted with The Force? I mean I know they have varying degrees of talent but there aren’t any Jedi I can think of who are legitimately BAD at flying. Even the ones that hate it are still good.Â
Ahsoka: I love the whole “good Jedi/bad Jedi” thing you two have going.
Obi-Wan: It’s not really a thing, it’s more like I’m nice and Anakin’s not.
More Calvin and Hobbes Star Wars mashups!!!! Part 2
obi wan and anakin are just happy the dramatique cape drop is fashionable again.
Luke in The Last Jedi be like
Ben: rey you’re worthless and your backstory doesn’t have enough angst
Ben: oh also marry me
Han, from the great beyond: I s2g how is he so terrible at this I was a stud
Kylo bought the whole stock of that card, it’s the only way he can express himself without a tantrum.
you know what i want?? a representation of the seven deadly sins where for once lust isnt the only woman and is instead a horny friendzone dudebro
holy shit
A frat house of deadly sins:
Lust, the guy who hits on everyone regardless of whether or not they seem inclined to reciprocate, also known as the guy who considers his own pleasure the endgame of any encounter, consistently failing to give a shit about other people’s comfort or satisfaction;
Gluttony, the guy who overindulges in everything regardless of whether or not it was offered in moderation or offered out of politeness, also known as the guy who’s always high off other people’s weed and drunk off other people’s beer, consistently failing to respect the unspoken standards of politeness;
Greed, the guy who lays claim to every object of ambiguous origin left behind after a party, also known as the guy who hoards things he’s fully aware he’ll never use before they expire or will simply never use at all, consistently failing to demonstrate an awareness of the basic concept of sharing;
Sloth, the guy who only demonstrates any agency when the possibility of getting someone else to do his work for him arises, also known as the guy who will actually expend more energy trying to get out of making a basic effort than the basic effort itself would have required, consistently failing to do much of anything;
Wrath, the guy who finds a way to pick a fight with anyone nearby regardless of the circumstances, also known as the guy who’s formed an elaborate system of self-justifications to excuse his violent behaviours rather than attempt to curb his temper, consistently failing to take responsibility for his actions;
Envy, the only nice guy in the house, also known as the guy who thinks the world and everyone in it owes him something regardless of whether or not he’s done anything to deserve it, consistently failing to recognize that basic acts of human decency do not entitle him to the regard and attentions of others;
and Pride, the guy whose stories keep getting longer every time you hear them, also known as the guy who can’t stand not to be the centre of attention and who only starts conversations with others in the interests of talking about himself, consistently failing to take into account the fact that literally no one likes a person who feels compelled to engage everyone around them in constant games of self-congratulatory one-upmanship.
They are insiduous people, these frat brothers, primarily because you know people exactly like them and could never quite put your finger on why they’re so goddamned infuriating.
the sons of the white suburban moms of the apocalypse
the white suburban moms of the apocalypse:
war: stands up at the pta meeting to remind everyone evolution is just a theory and shouldn’t be taught in science class
famine: invited you over for dinner but everything’s vegan and gluten-free
pestilence: didn’t vaccinate her fucking kids and now the whole neighborhood’s got measles
death: on the way to sign her divorce papers and you just put regular instead of sugar-free syrup in her half-caf no whip caramel latte

HELLO, 911? Â I JUST WITNESSED A STRAIGHT-UP MURDER
Vader + Text Posts, Part II (Part I)
People who are praising Arya for calling out Sansa:
We are on two different sides.
When I saw that scene, I was frustrated with Arya for not understanding the importance of working together - as a team. Sansa is doing her job as Lady Stark. No, she doesn’t give inspiring speeches or has scenes where she plays the typical “bad ass” in the show. Sansa is being a bad ass in her way. When Arya questions if Sansa secretly likes it - the people wanting to follow her and are frustrated with Jon - I get it. Arya only knows her sister as a girl who gets nice things.
I think we are all forgetting that Sansa hates Littlefinger as much as anyone else, that she hates rulers who don’t listen to her subjects. Sansa understands him, Sansa understands Cersei, Sansa understands people. People are underestimating Sansa and I will defend her. Through all that I have seen, I stand by her.
I was also applauding the writers for showing Arya’s weaknesses in this episode. I love Arya as much as anyone but the writers do as do every strong, well-liked person on this show: they showed her flaws. Arya doesn’t understand the importance of working with people because she has grown to rely solely on herself. Arya doesn’t understand the dynamics of Lords and Ladys and Kings and Queens - because all Arya has known people of those kind are the types of people who destroy her loved ones and herself. Arya has grown spectacularly but she isn’t done.
So that’s what I have to say about that.
Olenna Tyrell like:
Jaime: let me grant you this merciful death
Olenna: shit thanks
Olenna: *drinks poison*
Olenna: btw I murdered your son
Jaime: what-
Olenna: peace out bitch
Jaime: THE FUCK
