My name is Paul, and I like to write in my free time. I’m 24 and from Texas. I’ll probably not use this blog a whole bunch but feel free to follow along if you’d like!

I’ll try to write both short stories and maybe share some poems of mine! I look forward to making some writer friends!

“Public libraries are such important, lovely places!” Yes but do you GO there. Do you STUDY there. Do you meet friends and get coffee there. Do you borrow the FREE, ZERO SUBSCRIPTION, ZERO TRACKING books, audiobooks, ebooks, and films. Have you checked out their events and schemes. Do you sign up for the low cost courses in ASL or knitting or programming or writing your CV that they probably run. Do you know they probably have myriad of schemes to help low income families. Do you hire their low cost rooms if you need them. Have you joined their social groups. Do you use the FREE COMPUTERS. Do you even know what your library is trying to offer you. Listen, the library shouldn’t just exist for you as a nice idea. That’s why more libraries shut every year

some libraries have museum passes for free or heavily discounted rates

they have video games now!

they may even have a "library of things" with tools instruments and crafting supplies (mine even has kitchen supplies like a stand mixer and a few attachments!)

use your local libraries! they love you so much!

good post library great i love to go there, but i just wanted to comment that i was liike 'what do you mean get coffee there it's a library it doesn't dispense coffee' and then i remembered that one time i did in fact get coffee at the library so

Yeah if you live in the city limits, you get a free library card. I live in a small town that doesn't have a library, so I have to travel 20 minutes to the nearest town that has a library and pay 50 bucks(? The last time I looked it was) to get a library card and pay it yearly. So yeah, I go to book sales and buy a book that is less than 5.
