it's ironic that ableds love using disabled people for inspiration porn but hate actually giving the vast majority of disabled people the tools and accommodation to facilitate disabled people doing more with their time. it's almost like the point of it isn't to inspire but to create a false narrative that disability can be overcome with strength of will because look at these people who did it! now stop asking for help
it would be so awesome
it would be so cool
This post is for trans women.
A German regional court has ruled that Google is directly liable for the content of its AI search overviews. According to the court, previou
Let’s fucking go
This is HUGE.
1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.
2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.
3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."
4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.
TL;DR Google reeeeeally stepped in it this time.
“It just means you have to work double as hard as most people!”
Well maybe I don’t WANT to work double as hard as abled people!! Maybe I deserve a BREAK!! Maybe I’ve been working MORE THAN double as hard for MY WHOLE LIFE and it’s led me to immense burnout & caused me to develop several MORE disabilities!! Maybe I should be ACCOMMODATED so I don’t have to KILL MY BODY AND BRAIN over trying to do what abled people can do!! Maybe I DON’T have to work double as hard!! Maybe if there’s the option to let me NOT work double as hard, I should have it, because I’m already working double as hard JUST TO SURVIVE!!
Why do you think disabled people deserve less rest than mentally & physically abled people?
You ever think about many peices of media have zero women and thats just perfectly normal but if a peice of media has an all female cast people get... like that? Women should be allowed to kill over this btw
oh I'm sorry it's okay ralsei you don't look like anyone at all and definitely don't have an anagram of their name either
i'm so tired of social media users saying "successful people are abusing stimulants". unsuccessful people are too. #WEMATTER

my favourite tumblr mobile feature is when you click to show a post marked mature and you have to very quickly put your finger back on the screen otherwise it scrolls up 2km and you have to go back down for a while
my second favourite tumblr mobile feature is since that update 2 months ago that did nothing except now the timestamps are randomly hidden 50% of the time
my third favourite tumblr mobile feature is the quick reblog doesn't work half the time. I believe it was also in that update
how could I forget! my fourth favourite tumblr mobile feature is from an update a few months older. it used to be that when you had notes and several blogs, upon clicking the notification tab, it would directly show the notes for a blog that had unread notifications. and then they changed it so that not only does this no longer work, but also when you select a different blog, half the time instead of going to that blog the dropdown disappears and it clicks whatever was under it
notice how the last 3 are just things that were broken and never fixed. not modified, just broken. that's called a regression and I think it's plaguing modern software development. it's becoming more and more common for updates of all kinds (firmware, software, websites) to remove features or introduce bugs, in ways that will never be fixed, and you can't go back to the older version.
this is especially noticeable for me in major android versions. the amount of customisation I lost going from 10 to 16 was baffling. Fun fact: I spent hours picking a wallpaper I don't really care about because it was the only way to get close to the shade of blue I wanted as my accent colour. You could just pick the colour you wanted in the Android 10 developer settings
I hate software regression
