I legitimately believe that Stanley Pines from Gravity Falls is a great representation of what Aplatonic but not Asexual/Aromantic/Afamilial can look like in a well written character. The guy openly said he didn't need others so long as he had his brother when he was a kid, and only thought about a future in which they sailed the seas and adventured together. Then when Mabel and Dipper come along, he openly is soft for them in ways he's not toward anyone else. Even his relationships to say, Soos and Wendy are mostly lukewarm, even with Soos seeing Stan as a father figure. I think Stan is Aplatonic but with a very strong drive for familial bonds. Also he clearly has sexual attraction (maybe romantic attraction), but even those drives are not as strong as that for his family. Inevitably in the end he always chooses them.

It's the way it was a simple, objective statement. White allyship 101. "White trans ppl can be oppressors too." Yes. Because Whiteness brings systemic power over their peers of color, even if you are in some way marginalized yourself. Queerness does not cancel out racism. We've talked about this. But from the perspective of Blackness and Bisexuality, of KNOWING that no amount of being queer has ever prevented white queer folks from being racist to me, despite the shared reality that is so long as you buy into white supremacy for your own benefit you will never break your own chains of homophobia and enforcement of gender....

i was incredibly dysphoric about my round face and softer features until i started looking at the faces of hispanic men and realized that those features weren’t feminine at all, they were ethnic features white supremacy had conditioned me to see as less masculine

your ethnic features are beautiful, and you do not need to look european to look masculine or feminine

"nobody says/does that" is a thought stopping cliche that you need to stop giving into when a marginalized person talks about the oppression they are experiencing

generally speaking, when a marginalized person says "wow I wish people wouldn't X" they are referring to something real that has happened (and probably happens frequently). generally speaking, when a marginalized person says "it really sucks when people X" they are not "making up a guy to be mad about," they are talking about real occurrences.

just because it seems absurd to you, someone who is not a member of said marginalized group, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. you are not the authority on someone else's experiences and you don't know what it's like to live someone else's life.

even within a marginalized group you still aren't an expert on other people's experiences. what happens frequently to a Black disabled person will not be the same as what happens frequently to a white disabled person. what happens frequently to a queer person in the global south will not be the same as what happens frequently to a queer person in Europe. etc. etc. no one lives an identical life to you so what might seem like a "made up guy" or an outlier very well might not be made up or an outlier.

you are not everyone, stop acting like it.
