apparently, I joined this tumblr place at 01/06/2013 9:38:57 PM.
depp fans have some gall trying to dismiss the uk libel case depp lost to the sun with their weird conspiracies, when that one had a judge as opposed to a non-sequestered jury who was free to browse social media the entire six weeks, not to mention the uk having two more high court judges also dismiss his appeals.
meanwhile, the judge in the virginia case:
had a jury that was not sequestered
accepted depp’s request to have it televised
also allowed fans in the court house, so this woman had to not only recount the abuse & SA she faced to the world but in front of a room of his supporters
had a person in the jury pool who’s wife called amber ‘psychotic’
blocked medical records of heard’s which includes reports of SA
blocked the texts of deuters, depp’s assistant who in the uk was shown to have admitted depp kicked heard
in fact, juries are more likely to fall for an abuser DARVO’ing than a judge
like the only thing that this case has proven to me is that virginia is gonna become a tourist destination for abusers wanting to destroy their victims with defamation and you people will congratulate them for it.
also i have about as much respect for the virginia verdict as that man’s fans do for the uk one, because they were all to happy to ignore it and pretend it didn’t exist.

with all the money and support he has, johnny depp could definitely win against amber in criminal court if any of his evidence was credible. but it's not. and he knows he wouldn't win, which is why he's trying to save his reputation in a televised defamation case.
depp has already been outed as an abuser in civil court. he knows he can't win a criminal case, so he sues amber for "lost wages" after she called herself an abuse victim (without even naming him) because here he doesn't have to prove that he's not an abuser. him suing amber for defamation after a judge has concluded that she did indeed endure abuse at the hands of depp is how abusers get away with humiliating their victims over and over again.
this defamation case isn't about proving his "innocence." it's a way for him to save face all while pulling as much money from amber as he can and destroying her reputation in retaliation.
