Well, from what I gather; it seems Kaito was a lot more abrasive from what I understand - he was much more rude and rough-sounding? I know that he was toned down a lot more in the English version.

Most of these make sense, especially given Gonta and Angie’s background, and Ibuki, Monaca, and Angie’s playfulness, but…why does Tenko do it?

Tenko isn’t a cute or very playful character. Her talking about herself in the first person makes her feel like some sort of cavewoman.

Could someone please let me know if there’s an actual reason, because this has always annoyed me.

I think from what some Asian friends told me about Tenko;

I think they mention that Tenko's character is quite different in the Japanese version; instead of being this misandrist lesbian which I'm confused why the translators decided that characterization, she's actually portray as a child trapped in a women's body who think boys have cooties.

Which does make sense if looking at Tenko's FTEs and LHE; Tenko hated men because her master told her that men would make her weaker but also say some other things her master told her that... seem a bit silly and something a parent tells their child and seem more like teasing.

Also her LHE is about her falling for a male senpai, which does make more sense as well if you think this way.

So that could explain why Tenko speaks in 3rd person; if you think of her as a child trap in a women's body that think boys have cooties, it makes a lot more sense.

It's pretty much the same with how Kaito is a lot more homophobic and transphobic in the Japanese version, hope that helps.

I hope this doesn't sound like I'm forcing you to get back into it, you bring a wonderful creative touch to every fandom you're in, but I hope one day you do get back into UTDR. I always loved all the incredible ideas you came up with for the world of Undertale and were a huge inspiration to me when I was coming up with my own worldbuilding headcanons for it, and I'd love to see what kind of awesome headcanons you'd come up with for the world of Deltarune.

Do you know the Sami Fangan Project: Eden’s Garden? Only the prologue is available but more are on the way.

Oh yeah, I am aware of that fangan and did see the prologue of it - honestly I am quite curious what is going to happen! I know a few friends of mine and I are speaking on discord about it months back regarding the animal symbolism going on.
