Buffy really is the show of all time huh. I am seven (7) episodes in and they have already scraped the bottom of the barrel without even touching the top. What do you mean they have already done praying mantis demons and hyena possession before more ordinary things like werewolves or demons. Like this is season one. Teen Wolf didn't start pulling that kind of thing until about season 4. I am convinced all the writers were doing multiple lines of coke before coming up with the ideas for each episode.

ryland wasn't ryland for so long. and stratt really did kill him, in the end. not literally. but he was right when he screamed "you're murdering me!" at her: she did kill him. she killed ryland with a sedative and amnestics.

and when he woke up he was Grace. he had to be the saving Grace of humanity, dr grace, scientist, and mr grace, teacher, but he wasn't ryland anymore. every memory he had was of when ryland was dying and he was becoming more and more Grace.

he was in a coma, sure, it's not like your identity changes when you're asleep, but it certainly does when every memory you have is taken away. he was never going to wake up the same person, he was never going to be the same person and it didn't matter because he was going to die anyways

every memory is of dr grace or mr grace or Grace, his personhood defined by the people around him, by their perceptions of him. he's not his own person anymore.

he's not ryland the coward anymore. now he's the saving Grace of humanity, a hero - but only a hero because nobody knows he wasn't.
