So I was talking to my friend about a Superman edit I had seen, set to What is this Feeling? from Wicked. This then led to a discussion of who would be who. The following is what we decided:

Lex Luthor is G(a)linda because he only really thinks about himself and what will be good for him/what he can get others to do for him. He also convinces others (largely government people, in this case) that his actions will benefit everyone when really they will mainly be good for him.

Clark Kent/Superman is Elphaba because he’s misunderstood and people see him as “alien” and “other” without trying to understand him as a person and his own views. He also will fight for whatever he believes is right, no matter what anyone else thinks, and stands up for those in need of help without question.
