I recently was asked to do a project about an issue that impacts women in the entertainment business. Female entertainers and celebrities are at a ridiculously high risk of violent stalkers, or even just individuals crossing boundaries unnecessarily. In addition, they’re often reduced to one of three identities: the slut, the diva, or the innocent. These stereotypes are unfair, and the conversation around female celebrities and their boundaries (or lack thereof) should be a conversation of protecting these women, not blaming them for the ways in which they choose to protect themselves. Spread the word about this issue, push for more accurate representation of women in media, and push for stronger anti-stalking laws in your area! Also, please share this and let me know what you think!
