Is 12th house synastry really so horrible? Everything Iâve read about it is so negative snd itâs scaring me, especially because me and girlfriend have a 12th house stellium in Sun, Mercury Mars and Pluto in Scorpio (her planets in my 12th house). Is there something I need to be worried about?
Planets in the other person's 12th House in Synastry can have their positive and negative side (as do all of the others).
The 12th House synastry can show a very invasive relationship, it can show a very personal, intimate connection. In many cases, it may show a telepathic-like connection, strong intuition when it comes to the other person (especially if the Moon or Mercury are in the other person's 12th House). Moon in the other person's 12th House can show incredible intimacy - very strong attachment and awareness of the other person's emotions. Incredible closeness, but it can also feel very unhealthy as you may absorb the other person's energy - both positive and negative. Mercury in the other person's 12th house can show openness about emotions, you may read the other person's mind, as I said, it can feel telepathic at times. On the negative, hiding information, secrecy, lies and manipulation or avoidance of communication is also likely.
The 12th House relationship can make you very naive, very vulnerable, very emotionally open - it can bring out a side of you that may feel very weak, very needy at times. The relationship may also bring out your savior complex (especially if it's Mars in the other person's 12th house - you want to be their hero, their savior). Mars in the other person's 12th house can also make the relationship quite slow - both people might be afraid to act on the relationship, fights or any confrontation might be neglected and it can show a lot of tension that is slowly built up.
If the Sun is in the other person's 12th house, the relationship can make both people aware of a side of themselves they have hidden from others. It can show a very spiritual connection - the Sun person feels like the light in the House person's life, their source of strength and inspiration. But in many cases, it can show a relationship where the Sun person is giving so much without getting anything in return - the House person may absorb their light and not reflect it back.
Venus in the other person's 12th House can show a romance that is very selfless, similarly to the 7th house, but on a more emotional level. You are aware and considerate of the other person, but your relationship may feel like your escape from reality, a place where you live out your fantasies and lose control. It can make a very irresponsible relationship (not towards one another, but moreso of other people in your life). It can also show making promises and plans that cannot be followed through. Sometimes, it can show a slow relationship/a relationship that takes its time because both people might be passive, refuse to take action (whether it's for moving, children, living together, marriage, etc).
Jupiter in the other person's 12th house can show strong spiritual connection, bringing out the other person's faith in themselves, building up their confidence from deep within. It can be a very positive placement really, especially for mental health, troubles with confidence and courage from either side.
Saturn in the other person's 12th house on the other side, can be quite heavy in a synastry. It can show a lot of fear, being afraid of disappointing the other person yet critizing them when they are unable to reach perfection. It can also show an emotionally closed off relationship. Despite that, there is a lot of responsibility for the other person, willingness to improve for them.
Uranus in the other person's 12th house can show a lot of chaos, for the House person it may feel like the Uranus person has come into their life to disrupt their peace - can be in a positive or a negative way. Sometimes they inspire them to be brave, sometimes they just push them to do someting they aren't ready for. Neptune in the other person's 12th House is also a sign of a spiritual connection, but it can make the relaitonship prone to escapism, substance abuse or support of any vices of the other person, lack of control and responsibility that is just heightened in the relationship. It can show a very selfless, sacrifical relationship. Pluto in the other person's 12th House can show willingness to make changes from deep within for the other person. It can also show a relationship where you have a lot of psychological influence on the other person.
