Phishing scam attempt encountered! wahoo

A blog named "confirm-page" tagged my sideblog (and various other blogs) in the comments under its post claiming that a "minor anomaly" was detected with my account, telling me to verify my account within 48 hours by clicking a random link.

I did not click the link, of course; I reported the account for phishing and then blocked it. Just wanted to share what it looked like in case anyone else encounters it and isn't sure whether it's legit or not! :)

Tumblr would NOT contact you through tagging you on a post like this (never will); they would contact you privately e.g. via email if there was an issue. If you're unsure of if something is actually from Tumblr, either report it (my preferred method) or look up which email address to contact Tumblr though, and use that to ask them if it's legit or not!

Edit: seems like there are multiple different blogs doing this, so keep an eye out I guess

idk man I'm thinking a lot about the discourse being reported in this post and my own post about crushes, which has garnered a lot of responses like this one

and I don't know exactly what to do with this yet but I'm fascinated, in a really upsetting way, by the way some of these people seem to conceptualize romantic and/or sexual attraction as an act of violation that no one should do to people they like and care about. if nothing else it raises some really compelling questions about what they think actually goes on between people who have sex and/or romantic bonds with each other if that's not supposed to be something that happens between friends.

So in summation; Rowling demanded access to a woman’s time and when she couldn’t get it she retaliated by posting an upskirt image of her and called her fat, and some of her fans even went “I think I can see her genitals”.

She literally went “debate me! Debate me!” Over and over like the grifter she is and when she couldn’t get what she wanted and when “no” wasn’t enough she resorted to retaliatory sex-pestery, posting an image of somebody’s body with intention to shame and embarrass and spawn more waspish tittering from her internet followers.

In case anyone hasn't heard, the cyclospora outbreak affecting tons of people in the US right now is coming from Taylor Farms produce. Best to stay away from bagged lettuce and prepared salads completely right now, but especially the ones mentioned in the screenshot:

This is not the first time I've heard about a Taylor Farms foodborne illness outbreak. I stopped eating their salads after reading a description of the conditions in their facilities. Doesn't sound like they've improved anything.

We need a fully funded and staffed FDA, and regulations with teeth - and that's exactly what we don't have under Trump. To make things worse, the CDC is no longer tracking these outbreaks. We're on our own.

Washington Post is paywalling the article but it looks like Taylor Farms — a consumer bagged salad brand that also supplies produce to grocers and fast food chains like Taco Bell, Walmart, McDonald's, Chipotle, Burger King, KFC, and Meijer —may be at least one of the sources of the current cyclosporiasis outbreak.

Taylor makes bagged greens, salad kits, chopped salads, the works. Keep avoiding supermarket greens, but keep an especially close eye out for this brand/supplier. The above list of grocers and fast food chains is NOT exhaustive, so please continue getting lettuce and other raw produce taken off your burgers, sandwiches, etc.
