#wow awesome thank you for posting #i actually like the drawings they just don't make sense with the songs #probably they were never drawn for the songs but put beside them as an afterthought for the book #i love the yesterday drawing and the getting closer drawing and the and I love her drawing #he probably doodled all of those for fun

In 1981 Paul Published a book called "Paul McCartney Composer/Artist". I know it's probably not even in the top 5 weirdest things Paul's ever done (though the timing is ... something).

Most of the drawings seem to me to be pretty low-effort. But the drawing with Yellow Submarine looks like this:

and if you tilt the page, it looks like this:

Why is he drawing Ringo with a gun in a Holbein-ass memento mori in this 1981 book?

Throughout Get Back, you can see just how much eye contact there is between them—how intensely they look at each other. But in this particular scene, it stands out even more. They’re surrounded by many people, yet even when others are speaking directly to one of them, they often keep their eyes on each other instead of looking at the person who’s talking 🫠

#that scene has always been so intriguing to me #because John's eyes really get back to Paul again and again #and he seems CONCERNED #whether for Paul or for his own view on the matters discussed I don't know
