Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?

It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!

i hate that TERFs have claimed the term “gender-critical”. Like yeah, I too am critical of the concept of gender. I am critical of the very idea that gender exists. I think it was a bad idea! But now, it just means “I am a transphobe”. And it annoys me :/

You can't be critical of gender and support the idea that someone can 'feel like' a sex (which is neither a feeling nor a sex) based purely on gendered stereotypes and fetishes. That goes against what very little is concrete about Gender Criticism. Transgenderism (bc transsexualism is definitely impossible/humans can't change sex) is literally an impossible thing to support if you're Gender Critical or, more realistically, a Gender Abolitionist. That's like saying you're vegan but every meal has to contain bacon...that's not how veganism works and that's not how Gender Criticism works.

Also, TERF literally just means 'woman who won't let men strong-arm her or society anymore' so good job trying to make a slur for women you don't agree with. Do better?

I tried a new brush, and it was kinda revolutionary? very fun and good, everyone try water brush on procreate
