Kill for mommy!!!
Dwight be thinking... Why is it always me that the new killers pick on...lol.
Ghostface as a curse
I know this is not something that they would do in the actual Scream movies, because they are trying to remain somewhat grounded with Ghostface as an actually mortal slasher rather than supernatural. But indulge me for a moment, the mask calls out to people... It looks for the next Ghostfaces, it's mass produced by a company that doesn't know what it is... That there is an actual evil presence attached to the symbology of the face... It's not super powerful... it needs you to already be willing to accept it into yourself... It needs you to want to harm someone already; you were just inches from doing something bad, it just gives you a push. It gives you stealth and silence, the more anger and rage you have the more you seem invincible... But there is a price... the moment the mask comes off your face... It no longer protects you... Why do they always fail to get their main target.. Because they can't stop themselves from revealing their secret... Their ego has to tell their main victim that they were the ones who killed them. It's a curse... The mask makes you arrogant; you can pull off insane feats, but your actual goal... your obsession, they are just out of reach.. It would be so easy to just end it...
But they have to know... you can't let the mask itself take the credit... They have to know you caused the suffering and the hurt... They have to know it was you before the light goes out in their eyes.
Ghostface
I wonder how, in the actual Scream universe, the Ghostface mask is still allowed to be sold. There is no way that a costume worn by 7 different sets of spree killers would still be allowed to be manufactured, much less sold to literally anybody.
I need to be put down
As a person who has done several DBD ask blogs... He's in the game now... and there is a huge temptation...
These two
A selection of some of my favorite comic characters. This is just a sampling but I've been thinking about them all recently.
Random comic book character O.C. thought.
Thinking about a comic character who is otherwise a normal human being, but every time the universe is rebooted, retconned, or in some way everybody's memories are changed. They always remember what originally happened, but also conflictingly they remember all the new stuff too.
This person really just wants to live a normal life but various heroes, villains, and ultra powerful beings are always trying to seek him out in order to find out what he knows.
Primehood
Oh dear, my last post had me digging around on the Tumblrs and I discovered Primehood, pray for me.
Superboy Prime... Or I'm an old man and I talk about comics...
There is no long-form medium that has the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows than comic franchises. As can be gathered from various posts on my blog, I am a huge fan of comics, I prefer DC over Marvel, but that preference is not a hard line more of a if I'm forced to choose one over the other... I know it would be absolutely terrible for the industry, but honestly I'd love it if both universes were smashed together into one big mega universe (No not like Amalgam though that was a fun little what if, I mean just they've always been on the same earth all the characters all the time.) But I'm already digressing... Superboy Prime, if there ever was to be a poster boy for controversial choices for characters, He's definitely heavily in the running. As a fan of the original Crisis on Infinite Earths and 80's DC in general it's not hard for me to say that Infinite Crisis was rough for me.. Bringing back a bunch of Pre-Crisis characters who were all heroes and having them do horrible things in the name of bringing back the good old days was not my favorite storyline to say the least. At the time, the worst thing to happen was what they did to Superboy from Earth Prime... He became this whiny, edgy fan boy who murdered in the name of basically saying that the old days were better (Hard to not feel like that was a dig at old time fans.) Who was also ultra powerful, enough that he could literally just punch reality and cause all sorts of crazy things to happen like random people coming back to life like Jason Todd. After Infinite Crisis, he stuck around as a threat that they would release when they wanted to put a uber powerful plot breaking villain that basically took everybody to even slow him down. Wanna raise the stakes have Prime be involved somehow... A few years back, the annual reality ending event was happening called Dark Nights: Death Metal, and they decided to give the character a quick cheap redemption arc as he saves the universe in that storyline... He also gets shuffled off, supposedly back to his original reality and I thought, well there you go that's the last we will see of him. Imagine to my surprise that recently showed up again... and... I don't hate what they are doing with him... He's not... 100% a good guy... but his whole thing right now is that he's trying to be better. They are really leaning into him coming from a world where all the other characters are from comics so he's capable of breaking the 4th wall and bending reality constantly. (Very Deadpool but on a way different level more disturbing in a lot of ways.) I'm not going to lie, I'm loving the art... His character is... crazy but fun... I don't know for sure what their endgame is with him. I don't see how he could truly ever fully shake his villain arc.. This isn't Hal Jordan, there is no Parallax retcon to absolve him... But I'm interested in taking the ride see where it goes at least... I kind of want him to learn some sort of lesson... I don't want to see him just fall back into Infinite Crisis murder boy.
Riddler P.I. verse more thoughts
So a character I thought about using for sure in my P.I. Riddlerverse is a villain that's pretty obscure. He's called Bookworm( His deal is that he commits literary and book based crimes) and his most famous appearance was in the Batman 60's series played by the amazing Roddy McDowall. ( His whole aesthetic where his costume is like a leather bound book with golden gilded edges and a reading lamp built into his hat pure 60's Super villain cheese.)
He hasn't been used much in the comics(Though they did give him a name Alexander Wyvern.) and nothing has really stuck character wise he's ripe for reinvetion. I personally like the idea that he is a retired villain that used to work during Batman's very early career. But got out of the buisness... Eddie crosses paths with him on a case where Lock-Up began kidnapping all of the Bats villains active or not.
Due to shenanigans they both have to help each other escape Bolton. After the incident Bookworm starts working in Eddies P.I. office. He's especially good with file sorting, speed reading, and collating data.
Eddie and him are both intellectuals though focused on different things, I like the idea that they verbally spar a lot.
@princeofpuzzlesenthusiast you got me thinking too much about this lol
So I was chatting to @princeofpuzzlesenthusiast about whether i'd do a Riddler Ask blog... And I mentioned that if I did it would be a Riddler that was a P.I. like that comic storyline that I wish they hadn't abandoned ages ago. I really loved him instead of a pure villain a rival for Batman, it gave him something that was different from the rest of the rogues gallery. But what would my P.I. Riddler be like? The Riddler is interesting because his design and story have been very fluid over the years... So my Riddler would definitely have me choosing my favorite stuff from whatever versions of the character I like and mashing together for sure.
I know that I want him to be a red head like he has become in more recent years in the comics. I prefer suit and tie rather than the spandex unitard but my Riddler wears a bowler and not a fedora. I feel like the pics above kind of give the feel for what I think he looks like overall... I think if I mashed all these ideas together that's where i'd be with how I think he should look. I feel like he's slightly a bit of a fashion guy at least when it comes to his outfit he trys things out like.. shifting the colors trying a bowtie etc... I'm not a huge fan of the question mark scar from the War of Jokes and Riddles(Probably not gonna use it.) even though I definitely think that storyline happened in some form for my Riddler. Wally Wingert (The voice actor for the Arkham game Riddler) is the voice claim I have in my head. I feel like before he became the Riddler he for a short time worked for the GCPD, I haven't fully hashed out whether it's more like Arkham Origins or Gotham Riddler, but I want that connection.
He spent at least 12-13 years as the criminally active Riddler. He started his sprees in his early 20's and was around 36-37 when things turned around for him and finally became a P.I. He's become well known as kind of a success story for villains that want to get out of the life of crime in the DC universe. Villains that want to go straight when they get in trouble with the law, they very often go to Eddie for help. And he has some former villains/henchs that even work in his P.I. office with him.

Currently Working On: Chapter 5 of Off The Record! I'm actually very happy about this because it's mostly Teddy and Adrian interactions plus actual plot now!! I'm working on it so there are subtle things that will be brought back up in later chapters, too :D
“Fuck, you can’t do that to people.” Teddy managed out, easing back into his seat as he slowly reverted back to his relaxed demeanour. Adrian’s brows furrowed at Teddy’s words, his head tilting ever so slightly to the side in confusion, as if the different angle would reveal the answer to his silent question. “Sneaking up on people.” The other elaborated, running a hand through his white-dyed curtains. “How did you even-?” Adrian cut him off with a light, brief chuckle, as if the concept of being so light-tooted was normal and Teddy’s reaction was outlandish enough to become amusing. “Oh! Yeah. Sorry, I do that sometimes.” “They give cats bells on their collars because they do the same thing.”
