the CHIC geek: My 2015 Met Gala Top 10/11

I might be the only one with nothing to say about Rihanna or Sarah Jessica Parker at this years Met Gala. Although it would appear that they both brought their A game, neither of them left a lasting impression on me.

The Met Gala is known for it’s over the top fashion moments but this year it was the simplicity and elegance and that won me over. I know some of my choices were definitely not favorites amongst the critics but this list is solely based on MY opinion.

"It” Remake has cast their Evil Clown in Will Poulter

The “We’re the Millers” star is in final negotiations to play Pennywise, the evil clown in the upcoming Cary Fukunaga remake of Stephen King’s “It.”

New Line has decided to take a different approach and cast it’s lead “Pennywise” younger giving the film a new look. 

I think the casting is perfect, Will has always stood out to me as someone with a unique look. Although Tim Curry’s Pennywise is iconic, I truly believe Will could  breathe new life into Stephen King’s classic horror monster. 

The film will be split into two parts with Poulter appearing in both. Production is said to begin this summer.

Rupaul’s Drag Race (Season 7) Contestant “Miss Fame” releases Rubber Doll.

This queen might have just left the race but she’s definitely not out of a career! 

Miss Fame was hard for me to stomach at times but I have to give her props, the video is gorgeous, the styling is impeccable, and the song is actually tolerable. “Fame” is an extremely talented makeup artist and owns her personal aesthetic in a way that others simply cannot. I’m sure we’ll see more from this Season 7 stunner.

The Last Witch Hunter: Teaser Trailer & Poster

Vin Diesel is heading back to theaters this October in Breck Eisner’s “The Last Witch Hunter.” Vin, who has recently been celebrating a 1.3 billion dollar box office smash with his latest film “Furious 7″ will team up with “Game of Thrones” Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood, and Michael Caine for this new potential franchise which is due out October 23, 2015.

The story of the film revolves around Kaulder (Vin Diesel) an immortal witch hunter who is fighting to protect the human race from a recently resurrected all-powerful Queen Witch.

ABC’s “Revenge” is officially canceled

It has just been confirmed that ABC’s Sunday night drama “Revenge” has finally gotten the axe. It was a long shot that the series would return for a fifth season but I for one had my fingers crossed. I really loved “Revenge,” since its debut back in 2011 I have faithfully tuned in to find out what tricks Emily Thorne aka Amanda Clarke has had up her sleeves and it will be sad to finally say goodbye to all the characters I’ve come to love and hate. Lucky for me I have picked up a new Sunday night obsession in “Salem” on WGN.

Make sure to catch the final two episodes of “Revenge” on May 3rd and the series finale on May 10th on ABC.

As if the cast of David Ayer’s upcoming film “Suicide Squad” wasn’t hot enough! Enter “Twilight’s” Alex Meraz!

As of now Alex’s role is unknown but he is joining quite an impressive lineup! “Suicide Squad” is currently in production in Toronto and is set to open in theaters August 2016.

“Dragon Ball” returns with a new series this summer

It’s been 18 years since we’ve seen last seen “Dragon Ball” on TV and lucky for us the wait is almost over! It has just been announced that “Dragon Ball Super” has started production and will debut in Japan sometime in July. 

“Dragon Ball” has aways had a huge fan base and with several successful movie releases over the years it’s no surprise that Toei Animation has finally decided to move forward with a new anime series.

The new series will reunite all our favorite “Dragon Ball” characters and is said to pick up shortly after Goku’s battle with Majin Buu. The show will be overseen by Dragon Ball’s original creator, Akira Toriyama.

If you can’t wait until July to catch up with the crew from “Dragon Ball Z” make sure to check out the latest “Dragon Ball Z” movie “Battle of the Gods” or the upcoming “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F” which is also due out this summer.

Bryan Singer is really pulling out all the stops for “X-Men: Apocalypse!” Nightcrawler looks pretty sick and I think Kodi Smit-McPhee was a good choice in casting.
