Chalk it up to Bliss Is From The NorthEast, but what does that mean, “power lines surge at dusk”?
As twilight falls and people draw more power into their homes to light the evening, the often old and rickety infrastructure struggles to maintain the load. y'all never been beneath one of those high power lines that cuts across wide swathes of rolling hills? makes the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. as a kid we would ride the horses up steep quad trails back there and do a bit of galloping around in the mowed flat clearing below the lines and sometimes, even though the horses had been up there a billion times listening to the crack and buzz of the lines high above, one of them would get suddenly Weird and be inconsolable, eyes rolling and running backwards until we turned back toward the barn.
