Went to High and Low (the exile movie) last night. It was so entertaining! I really liked it. The soundtrack was amazing. And Seungri was such a great crazy gangster character. In one scene he spoke 4 languages omg.

Paris Opera Ballet School - 6th Division class
Guys who make fun of guys who do ballet must not realise how disciplined, agile, coordinated and strong you have to be to be a ballet dancer.
Guys who make fun of ballet are stupid.
I love BIGBANG and SMAP, so this is like a dream for me! I almost cried at Nakai x Seungri interactions. Just made quick trans of my fave parts, sorry…I don’t have much time to do full on this one.
GD x Senga Kento 6:35~8:13
SK: My name is Senga Kento.
GD: Is it Senga Kento? Yes.
Nakai: He’s a member of Busaiku.
GD: Busaiku?
Rola: The group’s name is Kisumai Busaiku.
SK: That’s the name of the program.
Saitou-san: It’s the program.
Rola: Is that so?
VI: So, Senga Kento-san?
SK: In GDragon-san’s solo song, there’s “Senga Kento” in the lyrics.
?: E? really?
SK: E? I was thinking if he was calling me?
Nakai: Did you write that?
GD: E? I don’t understand. [cute GD]
Nakai: Is there really [in the song]?
SK: There’s a video, so please watch it.
<plays THAT xx mv / This is GDragon’s solo track, THAT xx. Did he really sing “Senga Kento?”….10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2, Senga Kento>
<laughs / Everyone, did you hear “Senga Kento”?>
GD: Ah, I see! I see!
Nakai: There’s no “to”, there’s no “to”
Saitou-san: It’s Senga Ke
Nakai: It’s Senga Ke
SK: When I saw it, I thought he was like calling me. [LMAO]
GD: “Sengake” in Korean means to think.
VI: It means to think.
GD: Yeah, it means to think, BUT….if Senga Kento-san would be happy, it doesn’t matter [he can go on thinking whatever he feels like, lol]
??: So it can be that way [lyrics as Senga Kento]
<laughs/claps> Nakai: Then you’d be suddenly happy thinking he sings it with Senga Kento~?
SK: Yeah.
Nakai: That’s nice.

IM LAUGHING SO HARD. MY FRIEND KNOWS THIS GIRL WHO HAS SOME OLD YEAR BOOK FROM MARSHALL H.S. AND SHE FOUND LEONARDO DICAPRIO AND THIS IS HIM FROM WHEN HE WAS A JUNIOR AND HE LOOKS LIKE A FUCKING 9 YEAR OLD
That’s because he was. Di Caprio was 10 when he graduated High School. A genius with an I.Q. of 144, Di Caprio completed college at 14 before beginning his acting career. He has two degrees, a Master of Engineering and a Sociology B.A.
Di Caprio also notably invented the antenna which makes modern cell phones work while he was still in school. The profits allowed him to try out acting, his ideal job and meet Gus Van Sant, who cast him in his first role. That lead to Titanic with James Cameron, for which Di Caprio doubled as a scholar on the physics of how the ship broke apart.
But none of that is squat compared to his work on the SD card. Still in college, he developed with two others the miniaturization technology that makes the SD Card so small, and for that work he was granted a Nobel Prize for Physics and Engineering in 1998, the same year he failed to earn an Oscar for his work in 1997’s Titanic.
Di Caprio mostly acts today, but in his spare time he’s working with Harvard’s Engineering department on a computer chip that will teach computers how to fix themselves from viruses and crashes, and even data erasure from solar flares or other magnetic phenomena. If successful, this too will not be eligible for an Oscar.
He’ll simply never get one. It’s sad really.
How much of this is fake I’m loving it
God dammit that blog always gets me every time
For a second, i believe it..
On Korean to English translators
There’s been many well-deserved posts already made in appreciation of the Korean/English speakers who translate news articles and new media for international kpop fans, but there’s something very important about them that often goes unnoticed.
It’s accuracy by source.
Let me explain here. No more than an hour at most after an official announcement on a respectable Korean media outlet, there will be a translation of the article bouncing around twitter, with the original article linked. Directly translated, without more or less.
You would think the main advantage of this is speed - after all, it takes at least a few hours for anything to show up on official English/Chinese/general foreign media - but no. If we stop and think for a moment about what happens to the information before it gets published, it’s actually pretty horrifying.
Take broadsheet newspapers, for example. If they are non-specific to entertainment and only have an entertainment section on kpop, then it’s most likely the news reported is at least two days late - and an amalgamation of both tabloids and respected news outlets. Korean media is like all other media; there are respected sources, and tabloid sources, and both have their respective readers. The comments section on naver is usually much more logical than osen, for example.
So what you get if we didn’t have these fan translators is basically whatever makes most impact.
For example - last year, Tao was late to a fashion show in London. People speculated wildly about him interrupting the show, while in reality he was led down to his seat by staff, as were many other celebrities who were late. Our translators gave us accurate information. Newspapers and media outlets all over Asia did not.
News outlets were still raging over his “impolite nature” four days after the incident first made news.
And then there’s what happened with Seungri, just recently.
He sued an older singer for cheating him out of his money, and withdrew the lawsuit a few days later when she contacted his legal team again and they reached a consensus. Very good. Handled extremely well. In kpop timescale, this is already old news.
And then foreign media outlets today reported that “fans knew Seungri got into this mess because of an illicit relationship with the older singer.”
My mother informed me of this over dinner. I cited multiple reasons and info to to the contrary, foremost of which is that someone who would say such unfounded rumours online is hardly a fan - and the comment section on a tabloid is hardly a good source of news.
Horrifying, isn’t it?
If we stop an think about this - the average, non-hardcore fan overseas depend on these official news reports for information. And this is all they get - information so utterly wrong and diluted that it sometimes is the opposite of a statement originally spoken by a company representative.
And here we are on twitter and tumblr, with translators giving us exact information half an hour after the primary source appears on korean news outlets. We know what’s reliable to believe and what’s not, and it’s all because of them.
It’s something we don’t think about a lot, but it’s something we need to applaud kpop translators for.
CEO Lee Seunghyun featured on today’s @WartaKota newspaper
> Look at Riri’s facial expression…, he’s so proud of himself LOL
wait, Seungri own CJ Entertainment? i only know that he own Seungri Academy but this o.0
thejunghoseok What are they talking about WHO can read this?
they talking about this company https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CJ_E%26M_Film_Division ???,????
??????????
No, Seungri doesn’t own CJ E&M. lol Triawan Munaf is a businessman and politician. He’s the head of creative economy and he was in South Korea this past week. He met with the heads of CJ E&M. All the articles online say that ‘in addition’ to meeting with CJ E&M, Seungri gave something to this guy..? Like he presented him with the opportunity to facilitate whatever the guy’s doing by using his company??? It mentioned auditions… I don’t know if it’s from his academy or what though… Are there any Indonesian followers that can translate?
Its literally said that he is the 'leader' and 'owner' of CJ E&M but unlike the former 2 they aint quote him as president/CEO, and he offer to make music audition program. What i think is : 1. Its not CJ E&M but Seungri Academy, but in the same time i wonder how big his Academy is if he was involve (compare with samsung and a bank?) ; 2. He did own stocks of CJ 3. He was there with David, who from what i gather is business consultant from nemo, and one of their client is CJ E&M
More than the news itself, it amuse me how a young blond man poses with business man/politician who was there for a state's business affairs..

Greek myths are fucking great because their gods are so human. They argue, they fuck up at things, they make fun of each other, they piss each other off, it’s great, there’s so much human interaction and then Christianity comes in like that guy and is all like “oh my god is infallible and knows everything and immortal and everywhere at once and you can’t see it but its totally there and stronger than everything” shut the fuck up Christianity go take a writing class
That’s why its a myth.. we read it, watch movies about it, but wont worship them... If they can messing around much, how they take care their worshipers?
Christianity is about believing that even I mess things up, my powerful God always watch and look after me.
