the kind of cis heterosexual men that go on about how they love women who have “natural beauty” aggravate me because by natural beauty they literally mean subtle make up. it means they don’t like girls who wears thick foundation/smokey eyes/dark eyeliner/concealer/contouring etc, they like girls who wears light foundation and a pale blush and mascara. they don’t want a “fake” look (whatever the fuck that’s supposed to mean) they want a “natural” appearance i.e. thin layers of make up. they don’t want to see my legs which i haven’t shaved for six months or my hair when it’s greasy because i’ve been too depressed to wash it. they don’t want to see the natural hair that grows all over some women’s bodies - on their arse, between their cleavage, on their upper lip, on their toes, around their pubic area. they don’t want to see scarring and acne and pimples and massive eye bags and rashes and stretch marks and really painful razor burn and side burns. they literally do not want to see anything “natural”. when they envision “natural beauty” i feel like they imagine someone with very clear skin, healthy hair, all hair removed, and some light make up. they want to see a radiant fresh-faced glow, not the way women actually are.
