i used to think that too, but then i looked closely at their dance and Alastor seemed to actually like dancing with her, getting annoyed only when she started doing th leesh and puppet things. And yeah he really thinks that he was supposed to be able to beat Adam, and thought Rosie lied to him (once again saying he could if he just had an angelic weapon, Adam would be dead VERY soon)
Plus, after he leaves, he can't even bring himself to insult her. Even when she can't hear him. and he had no problems calling susan a bitch back in s1.
And a little bit of insider info: Viv liked a twit that said that Alastor seems to still enjoy Rosie's company.
So, all the things considered, i came to a conclusion, that they were actually friends! And even more, Alastor didn't mind that much doing stuff for Rosie when she asked. They dynamic is definetelty different from what i imagined, but it's far from other soul deal relationships we witnessed. She was more like an older friend, sometimes being his boss.
Because Alastor had no problems going to Rosie and telling her that he doesn't want to stay in the Hotel, and something tells me it's not the first time he refused to do what she wanted. But the first time he was actually told no (and not even no, a "not now"). But the hotel seems to be too important for Rosie to let him quit.
And Alastor wants to be out of the deal now because he ALMOST DIED, doing what Rosie ordered him. It was really a wake up call for him.
And after deal is broken, he doesn't act agressively towards Rosie. He smiles proudly, like, yeah, i did that, and now i can demand something from YOU as well. All he wants is his damn stick fixed. And Rosie appears with a smile, she doesn't really seem angry at him for breaking out, but rather for demanding something for his help. And when she realises what he actually needs, it's all chill, and they seem to be back on the same side, and even back to the deal they had, with an exception that Rosie doesn't own his soul now.
So i believe that what we saw in s1 was real. Alastor looks so proud, bringing Charlie to Rosie, he is so sure that she can solve any problem, because he used to it.
