Itās called ābeing able to see the corpseā
So if I put you in an L-shaped swimming pool, and you knew there was a corpse around the corner, you'd be fine?
loving the implication that I'm a little animal and you're a scientist putting me into various bodies of water to test my corpse:water ratio tolerance
Catch me being a modern-day cyberpirate screaming up alongside you on the 405 in my mad max car with half a bitcoin farm's worth of RAM in the backseat as I hack your Bitchless Towyota⢠device and steal the boat you're towing right off the back bumper of the tesla your dad bought you
As i roar into the sunset you have to swerve* to avoid the small flotilla of hacked Towyota devices trailing behind me
(*in fact you do not swerve because you're on hands-free driving to go along with your hitch-free towing so you can only watch helplessly as your tesla mistakes your stolen booty for a small child and accelerates crashing into it and killing you instantly)
Maizula Nation... please I'm begging you... I'd be ever so grateful if you could fill out the Maizula Week IC! https://forms.gle/H3UXnk3BkJqgecTS7
this fetish stuff is getting out of hand what the fuck is word play
āthe betrayal was better in the bookā could not agree less. the movie version is excellent. soooo awkward and unsettling and funny and sad. the way he cries and runs away and is tackled to the ground and begs for his life completely futilely š©µ
I've known a number of non binary people in my life and I think single biggest conclusion I can draw from that is that non binary people are not the same. Like if Men fit in box A and women fit in box B, people really, really want nonbinary people to fit in a theoretical box C, and it just doesn't work like that. They are outside the boxes. They defy any simple categorization because they are not a third way of being, but every other possible way of being.
Being supportive of binary people is relatively simple, they have decided to sort themselves into one of the boxes that we have lots of experience interacting with. Being supportive of nonbinary people can be comparatively tricky, because you have to resist the urge to create box C and drop them all there. That's how we end up with various prejudices like "woman lite". Humans really, really like to categorize things. It helps us think. Unfortunately, sometimes it helps us think wrong.
If you have a non binary person in your life, I think it is important to take the extra effort to learn about them specifically.
i love the use of "im back in the fucking building again" referring to special interest relapse
The story of Cats is that in the 1930s, the famous poet T.S. Eliot wrote a book of cutesy little cat-themed poems for his godchildren
And then 40 years later, Andrew Lloyd Webber found a lost cat poem that T.S. Eliot had cut from the cat book for being too sad for children, and ALW was like āwoahhh. A catā¦.thatās sad. Thatās deep, man. I wanna make a musical out of thisā
So the producer assigned to the project was like āokay, I guess you could maybe read these cat poems as a satire of 1930s British society? We could probably do something sort of interesting with that, Iām thinking a cast of about 5 andāā
And ALW was like āno. Forget the satire. Also I want a cast of dozens and the most advanced special effects technology ever seen on stage. Iāve taken out a second mortgage on my house to fund thisā
And the producer was like āwhā youā whā do you even have. a plotā
So ALW got a bunch of actors and writers and artists together and they holed up and did cocaine workshopped for 5 weeks, and at the end of it they emerged and said āthe plot is that a bunch of cats are having a dance contest for the right to take a ufo to cat heaven :)ā
and then it made 2 billion dollars.
You know how the best genre of rock song is āThereās a Wizardā? CATS is good because itās two and a half hours straight of āThereās a Catā, which shares a lot of the same musical DNA.
Though curiously, the āThereās a Cat who is a Wizardā song is actually the worst one in the whole play. Itās not great on its own, but itās REALLY not done any favors by the song right before it, āThereās a Cat Who Has Done Every Crime Ever And Everyone Is At Least A Little Horny For Him.ā
Been reading howls moving castle lately and i do love how idgaf maxxing sophie is about. Everything. Learns her sisters swapped places bc one wanted to learn magic while the other wanted a familyšš gets turned into an old lady by the wicked witch of the wastešš meets a fire demon and makes a contract w him before taking a nap on a cozy chairšš learns shes a witch ans has been speaking magic into every hat she ever madešš like i strive to give that little of a fuck. Which is contrasted to howl going on a neurotic spiral every two pages
playing mostly indie games really spoils u in some ways. what do you mean tomodachi life costs 60 american dollars. resident evil 9 is 70 dollars for 18 hours of gameplay? that's like 25% of silksong for 350% of the price. how do people live like this
āWhen we were kids, the Phonics Wizard came to our town to show off how the letter E can change the sounds of vowels. He turned a can into a cane, a pin into a pine. This one kid had a cap and he changed it into a cape, that kind of thing.
āAnd we loved it, we were all having a great time, but then he saw my sister and I, and he just got this - this look in his eyes, and then-ā
She hesitated, worrying the coarse material between her fingers. āThings got pretty bad after that,ā she muttered. āI know itās silly, but I try to keep - her - comfortable. We donāt know if she can still hear us, or see us, or if sheās even still in here, but I like to think she is. I talk to her when I can, I leave music on when Iām out of the house. I tried to convince my parents to bring her with us when we went to Disneyland, but they didnāt - didnāt really take that well.ā
After a moment, she put the ball of twine back onto its pillow. āAnyways. They tried to arrest the Phonics Wizard, but he had a plan in case something went wrong and he turned it into a plane and flew away.ā
This person needs to be arrested im going to cry
How do you go through all the effort of setting up a sous vide to do this????
never tell me that magic isnt real ever again when this is clear evidence of a person transmogrifing Meat into Wood
i can transmogrify meat into wood by lookin at pictures of titties if ya get what im sayin
hey, we all love tiddies here but this person has perpetrated a crime against nature and we need you stay focused
Happy Pride Month to those two women dancing together in the foreground of the boat scene in Godzilla (1954).
Iām sorry your romantic foibles were overshadowed by a big ass atomic lizard thing.
