Ok I'm gonna get serious for a sec. I have seen a lot of criticism to the progress Pride flag and I get where people are coming from but I need y'all to understand that the progress flag was made in the context of extreme violence and exclusionism towards specific groups such as black folks and transgender and intersex individuals. The progress flag represents intersectionality and the want to recognize and protect identities that are marginalized even within the community. The og flag represented diversity and inclusion, yes, but the progress flag is important bc it shows solidarity with the most vulnerable sections of the community

I know nobody cares about what I say but I think it's important to recognize the value of the chevrons in the progress flag when we're being exposed to a wave of fascism worldwide and trans people and people or color are in more danger than ever. The progress flag represents the will of the community to stand up for us

So no, I don't think nor care that the flag looks "ugly". The flag isn't an aesthetic accessory it's a symbol of the queer community's struggles and unity
