“I describe Season 1 as ‘the doctor is the patient,'” said Wyle. "He just doesn’t know that he’s the patient yet. And Season 2 is ‘doctors don’t make very good patients,’ and Season 3 is going to be ‘doctors benefit from being patients.’ Hopefully what we’re mapping out in the context of a hospital show is a mental health journey with one guy who was about as close to his breaking point as you can be as a human being, and hopefully as he climbs out of his proverbial pit, we watch a methodology in a prescriptive road for other people who might have a vested interest in seeking mental health as well.”
