Description: Severus and Hermione have both been confined to Grimmauld Place for months - Hermione since finishing her N.E.W.T.s and Severus since the Dark Lord discovered his true allegiance. Review: This was a really great quick fic to get back into reading this pairing. I've been on a bit of a hiatus and this was the perfect oneshot to get me back into the spirit of Sevmione <3

Review: I really enjoyed this fic! When I first started it I was unsure, as it is heavily AU which I'm normally not into, but it was a refreshing take on the popular marriage law trope. Lots of lovely angst, with a happy ending.

An Accidental Affair

Description: Severus Snape and Hermione Granger embark upon an unlikely collaboration.

Review: If you can't tell, I've been on a kick of reading DesertC's fics recently. I really love the way they write these two characters. Overall I enjoyed this read, however there are a few plot mysteries introduced throughout that aren't addressed until the very last chapters and it feels very rushed. I wish they would've taken a bit more time to really flesh out these plot points and maybe hint at the answers throughout. Also, I personally wasn't a big fan of the twist. Hermione is more OC in this than I’m normally comfortable with, but I thought it really worked regardless of the twist. I honestly would’ve preferred that it didn’t exist, as it then paints Severus in a light that I also didn’t enjoy. The author writes these characters so wonderfully, so regardless of not liking the twist that much I still think it is definitely worth the read.

Review: This fic was alright. It starts out steamy and with an interesting premise, but the major plot points of the fic later on aren't really my cup of tea. It sort of devolves into a very OC-AU (which isn't necessarily bad, just not what I'm typically into). I will say that a lot of the steamy scenes are very well written, which is why I was able to continue through the whole thing even though it wasn't exactly my favorite, however the last few chapters were a bit too much for me plot wise. It just didn't really make sense to me. If they would've been earlier on in the story I probably would've stopped reading but it happened at the very end so I just went ahead and finished it. Also *TW* for a N-Con scene.

Review: This is a good short fic postwar about Snape and a boggart being more related than you would imagine. It's a quick read, I enjoyed it, and the chapter titles are very amusing.

What if Severus kept saying Harry was just like his father because Eileen told him the same? Him, and/or Tobias?

I mean, it seem to me the Snapedom mainly imagines Tobias as being the irresponsible violent father/husband, while Eileen is the lovely mother victim, and I understand. But Severus’ prejudice against Muggles as a child cannot have come out of nowhere and I’m sure Eileen had a role into it, feeding her son ideas about Muggles being shit after all (like his despicable father). Severus lacks love in canon, it’s visible—if his mother had loved him, then it would show. But his mother was visibly not that good herself... just look, again, at her body language... and if she had mental illnesses, reinforced by the abusive life she endured, then she could transfer that against Severus. Perhaps he makes excuses for her, perhaps he blames her less, since she was enduring a rough life herself (which explains why he seems more comfortable and friendly with women rather than men), but the damage remains. Whether it came from neglect or rather active violence... remains unknown.

Abuse from parents is not black and white. It’s not always the father who’s solely at fault. Sometimes it’s the mother... yes she suffers, but the child suffers too. No judgement... but we see the consequences in Severus Snape.
