He's literally doing this:
IVE BEEN HANGING OUT WITH MY FRIEND FOR LIKE A YEAR NOW AND IT TURNS OUT WE KNEW EACH OTHER AND WERE FRIENDS WITH EACH OTHER PRETRANSITION
we we’re talking about how we had a mutual friend and how that was so wild and then they mentioned another friend i knew and i was like “yeah i played soccer with them both in the park” and my friend was like “wait does your deadname start with a C” and it turns out she was also there and we just had no idea who each other was this entire time till now
This is fucking wild
This is half a plot for a modern Shakespearean comedy of errors.

I’ll never understand why anthropomorphic animal cartoons like Robin Hood and Zootopia will go to the trouble of creating character designs that are meant to be understood as “attractive” or even “sexy” to the human audience but explicitly avoid showing interspecies romances between anthropomorphic animals. Why is THAT weird but, like, trying to make rabbits recognizably sexy-coded to humans isn’t?
Sometimes, sure, but why was Maid Marian a fox in Robin Hood? There wasn’t anything particularly “foxlike” about her personality, and it would make more sense for her to be a lion. They made her a fox only because Robin was a fox and making her something else would be “weird”, but I don’t think the wolf cop or the chicken maid or the lion prince were actually meant to represent race.
The best inter species couple is Kermit and Miss Piggy as the Cratchits in A Muppet Christmas Carol, because all their sons are frogs and all their daughters are pigs, as God clearly intended.
there are only two genders: frog and pig
I’ve pointed out to my friends that the fact that Kermit and Miss Piggy’s kids are like that means either
1) they reproduce asexually and the children are clones of each parent OR
2) Kermit and Miss Piggy are members of the same sexually dimorphic species, hence the split between their male and female children
yes I have spent too long running about potential muppet biology
oh god
Third option, when they want kids they get some fabric and make one, and hope a Hand inhabits it
Do you think there’s a ritual for inviting An Inhabiting Hand to possess the empty husk of your muppet baby?
Just wanted to show u guys that in Muppets Most Wanted, Piggy fantasizes about her and Kermit having babies and this is what they look like
So do with that what you will
Recall that in The Great Muppet Caper, Kermit and Fozzie are brothers. And this was their dad (right):
Thank you for specifying, which one of the two individuals in the picture was the dad haha
I, for one, think Shrek handled interspecies coupling the best. By this I am of course talking about the Dronkeys.
In season 3 of BoJack Horseman, we learn Diane (middle) has been impregnated by Mr. Peanutbutter (left). The fetuses are confirmed to be puppies.
This is the worst addition to this post
I am reminded of Treasure Planet.
In which Captain Amelia (left), an extra terrestrial anthropomorphic cat, had hybrid babies with Doctor Doppler (middle), an extra terrestrial anthropomorphic dog, whom also gave birth to the babies
I always thought that in muppet movies like muppet Christmas Carol the characters are played by the muppets (so kermit is acting and playing the role of Bob rather than being him) so the kids in that film would just be other acting muppets right?
Or is that just something my brain made up?

In Leo the Lion (2005) a lion and elephant have the most cursed hybrid children and I think yall should see them
(also Matt Mercer voices the villain, Maximus Elefante and I think that’s very important)
I think that what they are talking about is perfectly clear.

“you need to start thinking about building a family” no what I need is to have the money to buy house and decorate it just like I’ve always dreamed of
I still think pregnancy and childbirth should be degendered. we stopped talking about that and I need us to pick it back up pls
no in all seriousness as a trans guy I think this is really silly to ask for in general. if youre pregnant and not a woman and dont want to personally be feminized then thats fair, but we are a tiny tiny minority anyway, and this applies to even less of us. Things that typically only afab people can do are always going to be associated with femininity by the majority, and there's nothing wrong with that. There is nothing wrong with men being feminine and doing feminine things. I dont even personally view it as feminine at all, I'm not someone who naturally sees things as being gendered, but this is something so broad that it's silly to be offended by. You know it isn't targetted at you.
also "chest feeding" in the comments IS silly. you have breasts. surely if you have carried and birthed a child and are now breastfeeding you're not dysphoric enough not to be able to cope with the term "breast feeding" YOU ARE A MAMMAL MY DUDE.
"It's silly to be offended by" proceeds to make fun of people who prefer the term chestfeeding
You're being a jerk for going onto someone else's post about requesting to not be gendered and literally making fun of people who want to experience pregnancy while being respected as the gender they are
Not only that but it's not just a matter of being offended. People who are pregnant and aren't women are more likely to have hate crimes committed against them.
Also just because someone's a minority..why should they be discriminated against for that? Which yes, refusing to include someone in medical documentation (and other areas) just because they're a minority is discrimination
But referring to pregnancy in general as feminine isn't discrimination, it just refers to the majority (as language always does and always will, as it is built around the experiences and understanding of the people using it). I fully respect individuals wishing to be gendered correctly, I said that quite explicitly, but the language used to refer to the concept as a whole will always be feminine, because it refers to what is experienced in 99.999999% of situations. We have to accept that we are the minority. The world will never cater to your every want when that want is not only atypical, but directly contradicts the majority (because spoiler alert, there are plenty of people who want their pregnancy to be gendered.) OP is not requesting not to be gendered as you imply. They don't say "can people stop gendering me," they say "can people stop gendering pregnancy and childbirth." It's unrealistic and doesn't reflect the reality of what most people experience. If you're a trans person deciding to get pregnant, you are already accepting that this will be seen as effeminate.
As for hate crimes, get off your moral high horse for a minute and think. Nobody is going to stop hate criming trans people just because we stopped gendering pregnancy. You are arguing with a point I never made.
What I'm tryna say is, we can't change how things are seen, especially something as inherent to afab people as childbirth,* especially when it is still so stigmatised for women anyway. I've debated putting this in here because idk if I can word it as carefully as I need to, but a big part of being trans is navigating what is seen as traditionally masculine or feminine. That's what dysphoria and euphoria kinda are?- being seen as masculine or feminine or both or neither as we wish. That requires us to acknowledge what is masculine and feminine. And when so many horrific things are happening to us blaming hate crimes on the fact pregnancy and childbirth r feminine just to try and guilt trip a kid on tumblr is insane.
*I know intersex people exist but we're talking about public perception, and again the majority, here.
since you're a minor I'll try to be as nice as possible.
just because pregnant women are the majority doesn't mean pregnancy needs to be called feminine and needs to be gendered. pregnancy shouldn't be gendered because the "0.1%" (actually 1% if not more) you're talking about is still MILLIONS of people worldwide, we're talking about over 100 MILLION people which is enough to create 10 independent countries with 10M populations (or it can be one HUGE country). you shouldn't think about percentages, think about numbers. not gendering pregnancy is important. regardless who's majority, there are pregnant people who are MALE and INTERSEX, which makes "pregnancy is female thing" incorrect and wrong (also male and female are technically constructed and there's not a single right definition of it. not every "female" is built the same, not every "male" is built the same, and there are literally intersex people coming in over 60 variations), and it actively erases minority and harms us in many ways possible. arguments that ungendered pregnancy "directly contradicts the majority" and "spoiler alert there are people who want their pregnancy gendered" don't work because there were times when white people were the majority in the US and they didn't want their bathrooms to be for all races, they had whites only spaces because they were the majority.
people who get offended by neutral language and call pregnancy "female" are simply TERFS. MILLIONS of people worldwide are not obligated to censor our language and erase our existence simply because the majority doesn't want us to exist or doesn't want to include us in their language. again, you're a minor so I understand why you do not understand the topic. I hope you'll learn as you grow up. what you're saying is very intersexist and transphobic, however, I understand it's coming from your lack of education and the fact that you're a minor with not much experience. many things used to be unrealistic but humanity can change. words change. languages change. and erasing a group of people from language simply because they're "a minority" is wrong no matter what. it helps no one. it only feeds oppressors egos. I suggest you calculate 0.1% (known cases, there are way more people who aren't outed in transphobic and intersexist countries) of the world's global population. trust me. we're way more than you'd imagine. it's not just 100 and 1000 people. it's MILLIONS. over 100 million. also there are cultures where pregnancy wasn't really gendered until colonization, so keep it in mind.
did you just compare pregnancy being perceived as feminine to fucking segregation and try to act like im the crazy one here. What breed of performative is this.
Did you just call me uneducated because I don't think society will change language to cater to trans people when we are literally being killed. Nobody is offended by neutral language. "Pregnancy" and "Childbirth" are already neutral language. That is not what I said. What i said was that you will never be able to transform societal perception of the concept of pregnancy. I know male and intersex people get pregnant, that's... the whole premise of the conversation? That's what I'm talking about? Not changing a language to cater to a minority is not erasure, and while languages change, they do so naturally. But that's not what's happening. Also, for something to be erased it had to exist. Again, most of the language surrounding pregnancy is already gender neutral. That's not what I'm talking about. The idea that everyone should alter how they personally perceive something so conceptual because of a minority is UNREALISTIC. I've yet to see anyone telling me I'm wrong deny that, yet its the core if my argument. I'm not stupid because I'm like 6 years younger than you. Stop being so condescending and talk to me like a person. I know how numbers work I take A level maths. You also put "pregnancy is a female thing" in speech marks as though I said that, which is dishonest.
Genuinely how do you quantify making pregnancy gender neutral? You physically fucking can't. You don't know what people sre thinking. What's perceived as masc/fem is just pattern recognition. There is literally no point in trying to do this. It's just making yourself feel like a good person because you were woke on the internet.
well if we totally can't change anything, then we should just stop advocating for trans rights entirely and just go fuck ourselves then. Jesus Christ bro
The whole point is that when the services are called "Maternity wards" or "Women's health clinics" etc, trans men get treated measurably worse at them - Shoved into side rooms (so they get missed for both clinical rounds and food rounds), made to wait apart from other patients (so overlooked in first-come-first-serve situations), and get measurably worse health outcomes (Obviously everyone knows about Robert Eads, but the unnamed trans man who miscarried in A&E a few years ago because staff refused to believe him when he said he was pregnant, sticks in the memory too.)
It's an uphill battle, but so was the battle to get gay relationships understood to be as "real" as straight ones (never mind being legally recognised!) and that change happened in my lifetime.
If something is labelled 'women's health', non-woman often will not get service or wont have insurance or providers cover it. It causes NO HARM to de-gender pregnancy, and it CAUSES HARM to have it gendered. Case closed.
Men who talk shit about gold diggers underestimate the grit it takes to put up with an insufferable man, even when money is involved. We should be thanking them for their service like they are veterans.
Can't leave this in the tags..
