tbh it's cruel to tell young girls on here that lesbians and bisexual women don't care about body hair and weight and skin and so on and so forth because they're going to find out it's a lie one way or another. women who are attracted to women are not magically exempt from having patriarchal beauty standards engrained in them and from punishing other women/girls for it and it isn't helping anyone to pretend we are.

Hey! There's a big scam going around we all need to be careful about! There's a lot of scam bots and people on tumblr, some acting like refuges others acting like tumblr staff - in this one, they tag you and say you need to go through steps for verifying. DO NOT ENGAGE. Block and move on. This goes for anyone in your inbox asking for money, as most of them aren't actually in need, and in some cases, the money you send over aids them with sex trafficking or other severe scenarios. Do diligent research on anything that seems supcious, and take caution. Block, report, and move on.

More and more recently, I’ve begun to get some people coming to me asking for some clarification on LGBTQ stuff. When I was younger, I had to discover many basic identities and labels by myself, through research of various sources, or pieced together from disconnected blog posts.

In the year 2019 you’d think we’d have a kid-friendly website that describes all of this in simple terms but… I’ve yet to find one that isn’t primed for guardians/parents of LGBTQ parnets and prioratizes them instead of the LGBTQ kids themselves….

So I tried to make a quick graphic to organize everything!

Keep in mind - this is based on MY experience and the terminology I have grown up using. Everyone’s experiences may differ - and I tried to simplify in some places to make it easier to read. (For example… I didn’t really go into detail on non-binary identities… but I may make a seperate graphic for that someday because that’s its own box of pears.)
