Announcing... Schlocktober 2026!
What is this?
Schlocktober is a month-long writing and drawing event. It was established in 2025 as a response to a kink-free Kinktober calendar that became infamous for having way too many rules.
Its unconventional prompts and loose standards encourage creative freedom and reject morality policing in fandom spaces.

Why "schlock"?
It means trash/junk (affectionate), and that's the quality of content I'm striving for with these prompts. It's also fun to say.
But, y'know, if you want to take a prompt and turn it into a masterpiece of a whumpy longfic, go for it. That's creative freedom, baby.
What fandom is this for?
Schlocktober is fandom and ship neutral. At the time of posting, there are 218 different fandoms represented in previous works.
What if I want to combine prompts? What if I want to write or draw things out of order? What if I want to make a video? What if...
Go for it. Get weird. Do an interpretive dance. Mix in last year's prompts if you want to. Let the spirit of schlock move you.
What does [prompt] mean?
You tell me. It's all open to interpretation.
Is RPF okay?
Yes, so long as it's clearly fiction. See rule #3 below.
There are rules?
Just three.
No AI use. Having the plagiarism machine do your work for you is the opposite of creative. A typo-riddled mess is better than AI-written fanfiction. A stick figure drawn on the back of a napkin is better than soulless AI slop art. Believe in your own ability to produce trashy works.
Tag appropriately. 'Creator Chose Not to Use Archive Warnings' means anything goes. 'No Archive Warnings Apply' means your work is guaranteed not to contain any of the major archive warnings (non-con, major character death, graphic violence, or underage sex).
No irl bigotry or crimes. Your characters can be as problematic as you'd like, but if you try to post a weird pro-JK Rowling essay or threatening manifesto or something you're not going in the collection. Don't kill the vibes.

Only the most important thing of all: Have fun.

I must say, ever since heatwaves have started this June, I've been dreaming to have Kiffar clothes from your worldbuilding. Or just live on your Kiffu really, if I gotta burn at least be it somewhere super pretty and made for that heat x'D anyway, I'm still absolutely obsessed with your worldbuilding and think about it many times a week. It's just so cool !

I'm glad you like the worldbuilding! Copper fires is probably my favorite fic I've worked on just for how much worldbuilding I've managed to shove into it lol. I have So Many notes stashed away for future chapters. When I finally publish the Sith/Mando empires AU, that'll also have a ton of the Kiffu worldbuilding, though a bit more amoral. It's fun to poke at the interplay between my worldbuilding/the meager canon we have about Kiffu/the idea of Sith!Quinlan being Sheyf/how on earth omegaverse would interact with all of that. Maybe I'll work on it more tonight 👀

t4t khaleen quinlan crack fic where quinlan is really sad about his home being stolen and his family being killed, and she can’t bring his family back, but she’s a thief. She’s going to steal his home back. Especially as it’s a ship? she is going to steal that damn ship.
She pulls together a crew, who all give her shit for going from the art scene to stealing ships, but come on. Quinlan is carrying her baby and he’s sad. Have you seen those big pretty eyes when he’s sad? She’s only human.
haven’t any of them stepped out of their wheelhouses to steal something special for their special one?
In the end, they end up stealing a bunch of clones and any jedi who are still in there, including a bunch of siblings for Korto.
khaleen was never planning to be a mom but it’s too late. now she has a biological child and several adopted ones
maybe it’s combined with a sentient temple au where the temple sees an opportunity and takes it. ‘Normally anyone trying to steal the temple is going to get a bad case of dead or lost wandering abandoned levels for eternity while they think about their life, but this lady is onto something in this case.’

it’s tempting to include hondo in the thief squad, but I think it’s funnier to have him find out about the heist later and be like whyyyy didn’t you ask meeeeeee??????
also khaleen is like…in heaven because the temple has so much art in it. there are magnificent works that are thousands of years old just hanging around in the quartermasters thst you can requisition for your apartment.
and a few of the artists survived by hanging out in the studios anakin had no idea existed, and khaleen starts making art, and maybe teaching some classes. if those baby jedi and babies clones adopted (and clones themselves!) learn a lot more than anyone might want about art theft… well that’s a transferrable skill! times are hard in the empire, and there is an art fencer that is part of the rebellion, so it’s important to have in your pocket!
