This is why we say #BLACKLIVESMATTER!
This unnamed officer decided diapers were more than the life of a Black baby.
Don't fix your hands to @ me they should've followed the law. Don't try and convince me the officer was in fear for his life because the car drove at him;. Over less than $20 he could have jumped aside!
If you care even a little that the police are hunting us for sport then making up weak excuses to give the guilty cop who discharged his firearm for no good reason no consequences...call. Email. Write. Make it impossible to do their jobs from the inflow of Black people demanding justice.

Another one for #Pride
This is Jabarael. He is a trans guardian angel of the LGBTQ+ community. He was supposed to show up in my webcomic Kismetropolis before its untimely demise. I was never sure that his origins would be inoffensive or appropriate so I just draw him here without further explanation.

Still figuring out where I fall on the rainbow but here are some bi ladies. Kate (the mutant formerly known as Kitty) Pryde in the center. On our left is Julie Power, and on the right is Nico Minoru.

I just saw an acquaintance use "👖🛝" in place of the word genocide and. like. at what point are we going to decide that this kind of self-censorship is too degrading to abide anymore.
"grape" "sewer-slide" "the panini" I feel like I'm surrounded by Rugrats who overheard the grown ups talking about the news.
I'm tired of seeing people excuse algospeak because "corporations are making us do it." Why are we all letting them do that. The Internet is real life. Get mad about it.
Ableism and fatphobia spin around in circles. Can't say this enough.
Many people gain weight after becoming disabled/chronically ill due to being forced into a less active lifestyle, and losing weight becomes harder and harder when physical activities become more and more challenging. We get put on medications that have weight gain side effects. Some of us women go into premature menopause, which also leads to weight gain and slower metabolism.
The next fatphobic ableist who tells any of us to diet and exercise owes my dog a femur to gnaw on.
Spain’s grid ran entirely on renewable energy for the first time on April 16, with wind, solar, and hydro meeting all peninsular electricity
From the article:
Spain’s grid ran entirely on renewable energy for the first time on April 16, with wind, solar, and hydro meeting all peninsular electricity demand during a weekday. Five days later, solar set a new record, generating 20,120 MW of instantaneous power – covering 78.6% of demand and 61.5% of the grid mix.
"The fear of Americans of color is almost wholly manufactured by the imaginations of white America. The average white American has always been more likely to be physically harmed by another white person than by a person of color. The average white American has always been more likely to lose their job to another white person than to a person of color. The average white American is more likely to lose a spot at their dream college to a white person than to a person of color. The messaging that claims the opposite has not been created by people like me.
In the internet age, this resentment is more easily manufactured and distributed through social media and disreputable news sources. A story of Black crime that may have riled up one white neighborhood can now be used as a warning against integration and diversity across the country. While these sensationalized news stories keep many white people in fear, they also reinforce an aggrieved identity that gives a sense of community and belonging.
White supremacy is just good business. Manufactured fear is a cheaper and more reliable driver of clicks and media market share than nuanced and deeply reported news stories. Many of us shake our heads at his quickly hate and misinformation are spread in this new digital world, but none of it is new. White American identity was build on its opposition to people of color, especially Black people...
...the fictionalized story of Black brutality has for centuries provided many white Americans with terror, rage, entertainment, community, and profit. Even though stoking white Americans' fear of Black Americans caused them anxiety, they wanted more. Even though this myth distracted white Americans from addressing issues that were actually harming them, they wanted more."
Chapter 4- Mediocre, Ijeoma Oluo
*Whenever I say a lot of people enjoy/are entertained by antiblackness, unconsciously or not, there's a defensiveness. But it's true. That attachment to that piece of media or that infamous creator? You enjoyed that media, didn't you? At the expense of... What?

I've been finding a lot of job postings that ask me for a photo lately, which is uncool of them.
So I made an image which lets me bypass their demand. I don't care if I get that particular job, I just want to shame the HR goons who thought the photo requirement was a good idea.
Note: this only applies in the USA.
Took me a bit to figure out the implications: this image can be downloaded from here and uploaded whenever a job application asks for an image. Clever!
That's the hope! Save this image and upload to job applications that "require" a photo
I remember reading an anecdote about an award winning architect, who was bemoaning having to show his houses to women; while his male clients would appreciate the grand vaulted ceilings and intricate light displays, women would just bombard him with practical question about how one would live in, clean and repair them.
Anyway, more women in architecture and furniture design, please.
Also, more pockets.
We especially need more representation in the architecture approval process. Planning commissions, planning departments, etc. especially for public facing builds.
Maybe THEN we can finally get bathroom designs than don’t result in unending lines of people stretching out the door on the women’s bathroom side.
and while we’re at it, fuck this idea that ONE ACCOUNT has to belong uniquely to ONE PERSON. This is the same thing these silicon valley fucks want; their vision of the future where everyone has a unique biometric ID code implanted in their body is the ultimate extension of Netflix’s “no password sharing” policy. You want to use your friend’s car? Sorry, you can’t, you need to be an authorized user. Your mother wants to let you look something up on her OED account? Too bad! That’s only for her! The concept of perfect market efficiency gives them greedy little money bag eyes.
If I pay money to have a newspaper sent to my house, they don’t charge me extra when I show it to my dad. This password sharing thing isn’t just a Netflix problem; don’t be surprised if it shows up elsewhere in other forms. Stamp this idea out now or we’ll be stuck with it.
This is by far the most popular post I have and I have to say: good, I’m right. Password sharing and ID verification are going to kill the internet. not oooh in 50 years. in like 5 more.
I interviewed over Zoom. Company I've worked before. Confident since they were familiar with my work. But it's been a week and not a word. And I need another doctor's appointment because I'm occasionally aspirating and that's spiking my anxiety. Any help at all is appreciated!
