For those who don't know: Ikumi Nakamura is the woman who was senior artist on Bayonetta, and designed the titular character along with Hideki Kamiya. Jellyfish: vulnerable creatures known to sting (sometimes to their own detriment.) They are solitary for most of their lives. If you were to forcibly remove one from its environment, it would collapse under its own weight. They are constantly drifting, caught up in ocean currents and have little say over where they end up.

Also jellyfish: adaptable, resilient. A symbol of hidden strength, survival and rebirth. Currents can bring many of them together into "blooms" where they mingle as a community. If they don't get caught up in those currents, they might never find each other at all.
