The woman in the bathroom is trans and is scared that if she comes out of the stall the women that walked in will insult or harass her. but when she comes out they compliment her on her dress instead. The add ends with saying “stress tested for women.” It means Secret is including trans women in their definition of women.

I have reblogged this three times now, each one mentioning the fact that Secret not only included a trans woman, but that they /had the other women compliment her dress and treat her with respect/. I will reblog this every time I see it because it’s so important. More companies should involve trans people in their marketing - we do exist. Props to Secret for getting in on this movement. It makes me really happy to see more of the trans community represented in daily television.

This is Loki. We need your help. Our 3 month rescue puppy won't stop scratching/gnawing/licking himself! He had a rash on his tummy which i included in the photos. They turned into scabs because of the scratching. We got rid of them by giving him a bath with an oatmeal based shampoo so he no longer has these markings. However he's still scratching a lot! So much that he's losing hair in multiple places (i've included photos of SOME of his balding). The vet originally told us to give him Benadryl - that didn't work. He's now taking  Hydroxyzine ( which is a different antihistamine) since 6/11/14. We've also bathed him twice with Virbac Hexadence Medicated Shampoo that the vet gave us since 6/11/14. No change. He's still scratching/licking/gnawing.

He's had a skin scraping and it came back with no mites/scabies. The vet still prescribed him Advantage Multi; I'm assuming in case he has mange and/or scabies that isn't showing up on the scraping test.I read online that only 50% or less cases that these show up on the test when the dogs have scabies or mange.

We changed his food to Castor and Pollux Organix for puppies when he developed his rash (that he no longer has). And he's eating Zuke's Mini Naturals for treats.So we don't THINk it's a food allergy.

My husband and i feel helpless and the vet has no idea what's going on. Any ideas of what this could be?

He also licks our tile/pergo floors and shakes his body after scratching/licking/gnawing sessions (like what dogs do when they get wet). I don't know if these are symptoms or unrelated behavior.Anxiety?

Any remedies you guys can think of that may help with the scratching/cure ? This is our first puppy and we feel so helpless when he's whimpering and scratching/gnawing/licking himself. We (including the dog) have not had a full nights sleep since we adopted him on 5/8.

Please help?

This week, Buddhist communities throughout the world celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death of Buddha, widely known as Vesak (or Wesak). While countries celebrate the holiday at different times during the spring season, it is most commonly observed during the first full moon in May. The day of Vesak is a public holiday for many Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Though Vesak traditions and rituals vary across the world, many visit Buddhist temples to make prayers. Other customs include decorating temples with colorful lotus-motif lanterns, parading electrical floats that depict stories from Buddha’s life, taking part in volunteer work and pouring scented water over statues of Buddha. In Nepal, thousands of Buddhist pilgrims from around the world come together for prayers and celebrations at Lumbini, Buddha’s birth place. The holy Buddhist temple of Swayambhu located east of Lumbini also opens to the public on the day of Vesak—the only time it’s accessible to outsiders each year.

We adopted this beautiful boy from the SPCA yesterday. He was listed as "retriever/mix" but looks like a black Lab to me. He seems to have a bit of a cold so we're taking him to the vet today for a full exam. My husband and I are excited to have Loki as a member of our family. <3
