In lit, babies and the very concept of having children are intrinsically tied to legacy. Something that outlasts you, representing you when you can no longer represent yourself.

A little redundant in a story in which a very big plot point is the protag's choice and struggle to become immortal to be with her immortal lover forever, no?

#i think that's an interesting take on the intrinsic representation of children in media #cause whilst the baby is ABSOLUTELY part of bella's 'perfect forever'- as you say a prize #i think children can represent a lot more than that!#people have kids for different reasons; have different relationships with them #i think each author takes their own thoughts on the topic and puts it in their work!!

Just saying if E/B went to Dartmouth instead of having a teeth-baby they would live in New Hampshire and it would be great because I live in NH and a few months ago there was an article in the paper about how a moose was spotted outside the local Chili's and I just think that would be a great environment for a human/vampire couple. Bella could have Chili's and Edward could have the moose. Dinner date!

UPDATE: there was VIDEO recently of a moose at a NH college campus. Not Dartmouth itself but STILL. Might not even have to go out to Chili's for moose; moose might door dash itself to campus.
