The sound of B sneezing is the first thing A hears when they open the door and step inside.

It's A's first day back at work after a few days off, having just gotten over the same cold that B woke up with that morning.

"How's that cold of yours?" A asks, setting down their keys and shrugging off their jacket. They offer B a sympathetic smile as they approach the blanket nest B has made for themselves on the couch, knowing firsthand how awful they must feel.

At least B doesn't have to feel the guilt that they're feeling, A thinks.

"It's not mine," B grumbles from behind a handful of tissues. "...s'yours."

Some vampire snz possibilities...

- a sneeze causing a vampire to bite their tongue/inside of their mouth with fangs

- a vampire/human relationship. The human is cooking something with a lot of garlic and their vampire partner cannot stop sneezing if they set foot in the kitchen.

- sunlight damage via cold/flu symptoms. Like they're photic at first with a few sneezes from the sunlight. But the longer they're exposed the sicker and more feverish they get.

Consider a dogboy who is a scent tracker. A sniffer dog. And he is given the task of tracking down a person by their perfume, which he is allergic to. So he keeps sneezing while he's tracking the scent, but he knows he's following the right trail when he starts to sneeze more

Forgive my freak or if this has been said before:

But imagine, if you will, a cold-ridden vampire. They’ve not experienced such a phenomenon since turning (or, ever, if they were born one).

They’re feeding, hoping blood will heal sickness as efficiently as it heals their wounds, but just as they get a good mouthful- they pull back with a sudden sneeze, spraying blood and mess all over…

They gotta try again, right back to where they started.

Okay, so, I just finished rewatching all of Cow//boy Be//bop, including the movie! There’s a shocking amount of snz content within this series!

-The trope of falling into cold water causing characters to sneeze a couple times.

-The trope of being naked and cold resulting in a sneeze happens once.

-One of the characters (Fa//ye, a gorgeous woman!) cannonically sneezes three times in a row each time, without fail!

-Instead of “bless you”, there’s an entirely different saying: “Take care”. It is said that if someone sneezes and no one says “take care,” they’ll turn into a fairy.

-In the movie, there’s a contagion plot. One background character’s whole gag is that he has hay fever and keeps having to either explain that he’s not sick or try so hard not to sneeze in order to not raise suspicion.

Anyways, just rambling some observations! Overall, I adore this show, so all of this is just a bonus treat!

Mostly male sneezes, but to me, this is somehow cuter!

Side note: If it’s characters I’m not very familiar with, I’m less likely to follow through due to my fear of mischaracterizing someone’s favorite! I do research and stuff beforehand, but sometimes the research tires me out lmao! Asking for general character types does help prevent this, so maybe explain the character a little for me?

Well, never thought it’d get me, and yet here I am…

Space Sniffles… I always heard about it, always boasted that I never had it, was starting to think I couldn’t catch it. ‘Thought I was some sorta immune? Oh boy, was I ever wrong.

Day one wasn’t so bad, just a sneezing fit or two… but then the runny nose started and when the tickling sensation remained a near-permanent feature, I knew something was up.

Day two was when things really started ramping up. Seemed like I couldn’t get a word out without my nose interrupting and getting the better of me. That’s when I started looking for answers.

Research has now revealed to me that I may not be able to kick this thing for up to two weeks… I’m only on day three and I feel like I’m going to lose it! No cure?! ride it out?!

My nose won’t stop itching and burning, I’m constantly either on the edge of a sneeze or sneezing my head off, rarely any in between or reprieve…

Sniffling, rubbing, scratching, wiping or blowing my nose does little to relieve this itch! It feels deep… like tickling my brain deep! I can maybe type a sentence or two if I hold back and grind my teeth, but these sneezes are so disruptive! And, I shudder to write this so I’ll keep it as brief as I can, they’re so…gross! Each sneeze is sloppier than the last… My head is sloshier than the emergency rations of soup I’ve been downing… My nose is leaking and just won’t quit.

Must’ve caught it from the last bastard I turned in. I thought he was suspiciously sneezy… I wondered if he was allergic to something on my ship? Maybe it was a little dusty for him? Well, now I know the truth. He infected me. All this and turning him in was far from worth the trouble! All I got was enough for a soda or two and an unplanned, two-week, bed-bound vacation.

I ain’t catching any more bounties for a while, not when I can hardly catch Z’s… At least now I can say I’m good at catching something… colds.

Wish me luck and a shipment of tissues.
