hjs; i bought you these ...
â summary: han jisung looks likeâand isâthe biggest sweetheart in the world âŚ
â requested: yes - Hii, could you do a Jisung (stray kids) fluffy scenario, please?? :))
Rough days at work were now expected at your job. Everyday when you entered the doors, you asked the same question, âdid human beings have to be such jackasses all the time?â All the problems that surfaced there were reoccurring, and not at all surprising. One of your co-workers even said theyâd rather throw themselves into a pit of angry snakes than have to work in retail. Sometimes, it wasnât as bad as you prepped yourself for, but other times it was worse.Â
â(Name),â Jisungâs laugh sounded from the other line, âI caught you just in time, didnât I?â Giggling, you could practically see the smile on his face. It was as bright as the sun and as warm as a summer dayâconsidering that it was the middle of winter.
âYeah,â you replied, a sigh leaving your lips, âI was just about to start my shift.â Glancing at the dull, black and white digital clock that hung on the wall you begrudgingly read the boring numbers. Eleven forty-seven at night. Tonight was your turn for the midnight cycle. No one really came in, so you got to wander around until you had to leave. Being open 24/7 was overrated.
âWe just got done practicing. Iâll probably still be at the studio thoughââ His sentence just stopped, as if he was debating on saying something, ââif you wanted to, yâknow, stop by.â Your heart dropped and beat faster all at the same time.
âJisung. Oh, I would love to, but Iâm working until ten in the morning,â you answered truthfully. He chuckled softly, a slightly bitter, sad sound, and it was impossible for your spirits not to drop.Â
âThatâs okay, (Name),â Jisung instantly perked back up, âIâll see you tomorrow, wonât I? Itâs not a big deal, you have to work to pay bills.â This boy was so sweet, and it made your heart melt. He was so forgiving, and for all the times youâd said sorry, heâd find something good in them. Jisung turned every bad mood into a good one with his smile, and that was what you loved about himâalongside his smile, laugh, and personality ... Â
Still feeling guilty, you hummed into your phone, silently telling him that you had to go. You ended the call first, not wanting to picture his pout any longer. Jisung meant the world to you, of course, but your work got in the way. A couple times, heâd tried to wait for you, but in each attempt, he failed. The first, it was because he caught the wrong train and ended up on the other side of town. And, the second time, he made it in the shop, but fell asleep with his head on the table at the in-store Starbucks. You left and walked right past him.
Thinking of those cute memories made you grin. Jisung was always busy, in the same moments that you werenât. It made it difficult to be together, but you would love him no matter the situation.Â
Time flew by faster than you though it would. And, soon, it was time for you to leave. You couldnât have been more relieved. The night shift was boringâas usual. And not a soul walked through the automatic doorsâas usual. Your co-worker, Jisoo, was slipping on his blue vest before heading off intoâwhat he calledââthe living nightmare.â He cracked a few jokes that made you laugh, but, overall, you were just worn out. You wanted to go home. Currently, sleep was the best sounding word in your vernacular.
It didnât surprise you that you didnât have any notifications on your phone. Nothing from your mother, nothing from your fatherâbut what made you confused, was that there was nothing from Jisung. Most of the time, he called you right when you retired your vest. Today was different thought. The air felt thick and it stressed you out to say the least.
You mind began to float to all the varying possibilities of what couldâve happened and why Jisung didnât message you. Maybe he was recording, maybe he was having fun with the boys, maybe he was walking down the street right now. With thoughts full of âmaybesâ all you wished for was a solid answer. Sure, you mightâve been overreacting just a bit, but every single day when you got off of work, Jisung would send you the same text.
hey baby, hope you had an okay time at work. donât forget that I love you!
His sweet gestures couldnât be measured with any type of tool. He would text you, he would bring you to the studio, he would let you cuddle up to him even when the boys were practicing. But, today made you worried. Today was not supposed to be different. Today was supposed to be like it is everyday, sleepy and filled with Jisungâs mobile love.Â
As you walked with your suffocating thoughts, you didnât realize that someone had started trailing very close behind you. Each step you took, they followed suit. Each turn you made, they swiveled and turned that way too. You grew wary, and mentally debated whether or not you should turn around.Â
Finally, curiosity and fear had mixed together to form a concoction of courage. You whipped around to face a tall young man in a cute, black and green face mask. Your heart started to beat a thousand miles a minutes in that moment. The boyâs wide eyes crinkled as a grin formed beneath the cloth, and a small laugh sounded from his lips.
âJisung?â With a voice as shaky as an earthquake, you kept asking questions. âWhere were you? I thought you were dead. Do you know how worried I was?â
âGod, (Name), you sound like my mother,â he chuckled, pulling his mask down, so that it rested just under his chin. In that moment, you launched yourself at himânot really knowing why all of your energy was suddenly back. Maybe it was that Red Bull you had before leaving the store.
The two of you just stood in the middle of the sidewalk for a few seconds. Holding each other as if there was no tomorrow. His breath warmed the crook of your neck, and your arms were locked tightly around his shoulders. It felt nice, and so did the added bonus of no one else being on the streets. But, his hands were, strangely, still behind his back.
âOh yeah,â he uttered, pulling away, âI bought you these ...â Jisung twisted and contorted his body to get the flowers right in front of you. They were lavender roses, and their beauty was amplified just by Jisungâs bright grin. He laughed, but your eyes started to water.
âJisung, IâI donât know what to say,â you stammered. Your words made his smile even bigger.
âI know what you can say.â A smirk settled upon his soft-looking mouth. âJisung, oh, Jisung, I love you so much!â The mocking tone and teasing glint in his eye was soon gone as you kissed him smack on the lips. It was short, but after you pulled back, he looked dazed.
Gulping, he murmured, âthat works too.â
a/n: iâm sorry about this, itâs not very good, but itâs the best i can give right now. iâm trying to get back into the swing of things ... but, i hope you enjoy nonetheless ...Â
